McCoy at rain soddened Plumpton for two rides. In the first and last race no less. That's a lot of hanging about.

The big question is......is Ann Stokell with a 5lb claim the equal of Jamie Spencer over five furlongs?

If TRIPLE DREAM 14-1 Wolves 3:00 takes to the surface on his first try tomorrow then he could make a real nonsense of that tasty looking price.

Slowfoot finished 2nd to Irving a couple of years ago ón the flat in Germany ................... last seen finishing 2nd in a Group 3 over 11 furlongs in Baden Baden about 18 months ago. Could be absolutely anything to be honest. If Keys has benefitted from his last run he will take some beating though.

Generous Jack ought to go well in the bumper but Triggitas is interesting on breeding - by the same dam as Exitas by Double Trigger, he won't be lacking for stamina.

Don't like to go against stick and boris but I'm with Mukaynis in the 3pm! Went in my notebook after bolting up last time out coming from last to first, don't think 5lb will be enough to stop him

No great science to this but Sudden Wish, 3.10 Plumpton ran well before tiring close home here 2 weeks ago. That was after a long break so if she comes on for that she'll go close. Mostly though, she's bottom weight in a handicap at Plumpton, trained by Gary Moore, who rarely leaves the Sussex track empty handed.

If that first race at Ayr is as bad as it looks then PETERS GREY could be a bit of value at 50-1

Ok, after that world class effort in finding Yes Daddy a few days back, I'm decided to take another shot at the big time. This tipping business is dangerous thing, it can give the ego a hell of a beating. But what the hell.

I generally like a smallish field, but have risked a field of 10, this time at wonderful Wolverhampton, the home of champions. The 18:00 looks to me to have thrown up a rough chance at good odds. The name of the animal concerned is John Potts. His age is against him as he's now a 10 year old. And his early career was hardly anything to write home about. Up until June 2010, he'd gone 32 races without saluting. But then after a 4 month break where connections found the key to him, he chalked up four wins on the trot. During that campaign, he also scored twice more and ran second for another 5 races. So he won 6 of 9. Either something went wrong or he needed a decent break, he had 8 months off. Once he returned it took him another 20 races to crack it, he then won next start as well. 3 more starts the he disappeared for 7 months and now has had 2 runs this time in. They've taken Miss Brotherton off and gone for Tom Eaves. He was trapped wide last time and today will be better served by a closer alley. I wouldn't be putting the rent on him, but a quid each way might raise the blood pressure for a furlong or two.

Wolverhampton. 18:00. John Potts. EW. Best odds. 12-1.

First one goes in for McCoy and looked a fair prospect for the yard. Never looked in trouble. Now for the bumper.
