I have a really strong bet for tomorrow and am really going for this one. I am wary of the ground having changed over the last few days but with no rain forecast between now and race time at Windsor I am hoping for good ground, good to soft at worst. On the horses last run the ground was good and so the going should not be a reason for defeat. Windsor 5.35 Sir Roger Moore 5-2 This horse travelled beautifully at Goodwood during the Glorious meeting and finished without having a race due to getting stuck in traffic. I know there is no such thing as a certainty, I know the best laid plans go to waste but I cannot help but place my faith in this horse to land a proper one tomorrow. Were I pricing up that race it would have been a cautious 6-4 so 5-2 is big. http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/...ial-ebf-stallions-maiden-stakes-plus-10/video
At first glance at the cards one for me tomorrow is a bit more of a hopeful one rather than a majorly confident bet. It's one I've backed plenty in the past and i think it could be due a decent run. It has a course and distance win and could be way over priced for tomorrow so definitely worth risking each way: 3:40 Thirsk - Amazing Blue Sky 25/1 ew
Congrats to everyone who was on Jason Day at 14-1. Was tipped up by a few of us and never really in trouble during the final round. Worthy major winner.
Morning, crew. A day for the compulsives it would appear. Certainly to be punting today, in my opinion, you would imagine someone is either in the know / in need of a straightjacket (delete as appropriate). 8 left in ‘The International’. The Golden Horn, Gleneagles (who is so good he’s had a golf course named after him) and TIME TEST all been declared. Good luck, me old loves.
Just to say the horse was taken out this morning and as Barney would say I am gutted with a capital G. I know I was sounding confident but I was actually being restrained as that would have been the best 5-2 bet of the season. In the absence of a hard luck story to do with getting hampered or extreme jockey error this horse would not have lost this race. The plan now is York on Wednesday - it will be a bigger price and still have a great chance but an Ebor maiden is a whole different race to a Monday evening Windsor maiden. I had backed this horse in a manner I usually only back 3 or 4 horses a season but I doubt I will go in anywhere like that at York.
It’s a nursery on Wednesday, Blue, rather than a maiden. The horse has a got a nice weight (8-10 and is running off 91). Let’s hope Sir Roger (who in my view is unsurpassed as James Bond) makes those bookie chappies raise an eyebrow as they look down at the long, long, long payout line.
That's damn bad luck Bluesky9, I wonder why connections did that? Guess, you'd better lump-on Smokey's Amazing Blue Sky then?
Khousoosy 255 kempton now only 13/8 after a cross card treble yesterday goldphin in good form so hoping can continue today big win bet for me gl if you play
One of the days trickiest events Ginger and should carry a Govt Wealth warning, especially now there are 7 runners! Who woulda guessed an 8 would reduce to a 7! At least three of these are well in at their best and the boys in blue won it last year with a 3yo. GAY CAVALIER beat our boy over track and trip and is now a pound below that mark I think, must go close!
Reds need an early goal Ste ..... lets hope Benteke doesnt suffer from 'Crouch Syndrome' .. and gets off the mark asap ..
Jesmond Lodge 3/1 in the 6.15 at Roscommon - is well treated back on the flat here and her front running tactics could prove fruitful around the sharp Roscommon track this evening.
The next at Kempton looks quite an interesting race and I've had a little play on two newcomers: Cee Jay 20/1 Above N Beyond 14/1 Both ew and reverse forecast
