Just because he put the current squad together doesn't mean someone else could get more out of it than Bruce.

And if anything I'd say Bruce is more like one of the Iron Eagle sequals, those simulators can be quite good.

That worries me, no manager should be 'unsackable' especially a one with a poor a record as Bruce has since last December

I think Bruce being away with Quinny at the moment puts a stop to any threat of him being sacked any time soon.

I don't, i just think there has to be a show of unity until his position his untenable. defeats in the next two games would have us languishing in the bottom three with 6 points from 9 games, i hope to hell Short would swing the axe if that was the case. Before its too late.

    MoN out

    what do we want

    MoN out now

i think we should get Bruce doing a good job, got this North east club up to 10th its highest place for years and they are becoming an established premier league club

Lets see we need a LB a LW and at least one more decent striker.

SB has run out of ideas and cannot motivate the team.

The problem is what is in Shorts plan, he is certainly not stupid, SNQ good guy but not a businessman nor probably great at contract haggles and negotiations either, so at some point a new business savvy Chairman will come in. Short has to decide whether or not to let SB flash cash once more..or bring in somebody new.

I suspect he will have more of a say about the new man. Could that be MoN? who knows, I am actually just fed up with SB, unless he can win say 6 games on the trot, he needs to be gone. Who comes in not sure, I think we need the players I mentioned above more than a new manager, but then again a new manager might not play the existing players out of position and could possible motivate better than SB?

O happy birthday fellow poster do not drink too much or you only regret it (or not?)

I just dont understand this dislike of MON from some posters at all really!

He has a far better record than anything we have ever had and IMO would do a great job, at the very least hed get the basics right like tactics, substitutions ect.............. unlike a certain Mr Bruce!

Think wed be luck to get him and if were serious about pushing for europe and not just making up the ****ing numbers in the Prem then we need him IMO!

My point exactly. The argument that Bruce put the squad together, so he should therefore still be the manager, isn't relevant. Who can get the best out it, however, is.

If the wee irish twat comes to SAFC i will be the 1st member of the MOB.

Does anyone not remember the s h i t style of football his teams play - more defensive than Fat Sam.

I would rather have Strachan or god forbid McLaren

Bertie. Who can you see saving us - let alone moving us on from 10th with this squad? Who will come?

Glass half empty for me, I'm afraid.

    Typical Sunderland

We are hardly the bastions of a free flowing attacking style akin to the current Barcelona or great Ajax sides of the past.

Style is a commidity we can ill afford to be fastidious about.
