Are we fit enough? Looking at the players in that last 15 minutes made me wonder whether we are fit enough. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, I know it was 140 degrees pitchside but I was comparing our players to theirs. The Cardiff team had a game last Sunday and on Wednesday, so theoretically should have been more tired than us. Yet they looked a lot sharper at the end of the game. Good job it's an international break now as well as Chester (in addition to Basso) looked to be limping coming off. Great win BTW, best game I've seen this season.
We've had 3 games in a week too, 2 away trips albeit one just down the road. I was working outside today in 28 degree heat so can empaphise with people having to run around playing sport today. 2 weeks to rest for soem players anyway then back to the bread and butter at Brighton.
The point I was making was that Cardiff (despite having less rest than us) looked a lot fitter in that last 15 minutes and they were playing under the same conditions.
I can see where you are coming from and it would make sense as to why we have conceded in the second half in the last couple of matches. But i feel it has a lot to do with the fact that we are now not rotating so much as we have decided upon what our best 11 is, i think giving Evans a chance will give Cairney and Mckenna chance to refresh. And the fact Hobbs/Chester/Rosenior play every match maybe why they are tired. But definately something that is worth noting despite the great performance and result.
