I think this is a really hard choice depends on January and what players he's allowed to bring in as Higgs has said he will back MM n bringing in new players. we're not goin to get anywhere near top ten let alone the play-offs and there is a possiblity we could get relagated. I'm sure not sure. Ah **** it lets take a chance and give him until the ned of the season.
On Tuesday night I wanted him out but I've since calmed down. Give him until christmas and if things haven't improved send him packing with a Norwegian Spruce shoved up his arse.
I've said give him until Christmas, but part of me says go now. I've seen little to make me think there's going to be a sudden improvement. I don't buy the injuries line...Eaves is better than Harrold, Etheridge was better than Bevan, I still don't think that Gill's absence has seriously damaged us, and Lund is/was a good deputy for Woodards. Any 45 minute good performance has been a blip, there's odd selections and line-ups, we're too defensive at home; and although Santos appeared midweek there's no real sign of bringing on the youngsters. Then there'e Riordan!!!! So I'm not hopeful of us pushing for a play-off place come end of the year!!
Maybe so, but if we are bottom by x-mas and don't look like winning a game, would you still feel the same way?
Seems like MM still has support, even if it is just till x-mas for now.... no one has voted to get him out now at all
think people do or are very close to. think whats saving him is his comments in his interviews. he is a good talker and maybe thats why higgs still backs him. only the players needs to listen now!
I've voted for giving him till the season end, although I think really I mean somewhere between Xmas and the end of the season. I think Christmas is too soon (although for of our next 6 matches are against bottom half teams - the sort of games where we should pick up some decent points and move up the table - this period should give us an idea of where we reallly stand). However if we are showing no signs of improvement come late Feb / March - I think that would be the time to make a change if it's the way to go, so a new manager gets a chance to get a look at what he's got before the end of the season. However my gut reaction is to stick with the manager (provided of course we don't go down - which I still don't really believe will happen) - he has got a proven record at levels far better than this. I shall be having my first "outing" of the season at Wycombe next Saturday - so I'll be able to judge with my own eyes how good / bad we really are, but that is the start of a reasonable run of fixtures that could start to turn the season round.
End of the season. If it's still crap and we escape by the skin of our teeth or god forbid we fall through the trapdoor then he has to go and we bring in a triumvirate of Gas, Chris Gashead and Seamge79 to swear at the players until they perform.
Ive voted give him until Xmas, its a hard one this. First and foremost the clubs football league status needs to be sustained, whoever gets in the way of this needs to be shipped and quick. I dont like some of the decisions he makes and the more he talks the more he digs himself a hole, the Branston signing has certainly opened my eyes, you cant help but see it as a desperate measure, which in all fairness it is, look at our position, and available players, personally Id have rather seen a centre half come in from one of the top conference clubs than from one of the very few teams propping us up in this division! Would it have been a better decision to have gone with what we have than to have sent this message out to our competitors and us fans? Anyway I base my decision to give him until Xmas mainly on the thinking that we cannot possibly go down with the players we currently have at our disposal, Im not saying they are promotion candidates but I am certain they can hold a position around 18th place, and in all fairness with the right leadership they can achieve this without really breaking into a sweat!! Time will tell.
Looks like most are giving him either until x-mas or the end of the season. Really hope he pulls his finger out and gets us going as I believe stability is important but we cant keep him if he is losing games like this
MM needs to go NOW! and take GK with him and rest of the so called rovers players.. None of them play with any passion.. thats the problem, not one of them play with pride or for the shirt!! We need someone with a local background who would be proud to manage us and also local players who would play there hearts out for the shirt! Rovers have lost all of the above and need to address this ASAP before its to late!! We need to bring the Passion and pride back!
