Went to an amazing game at Wembley yesterday that will live in my memory forever, but felt compelled to mention something that has been glossed over, and that is the disgusting way some of our supporters did not respect the minutes silence yesterday. Some fans were openly singing the murderers song and you killed your own fans ****e all the way through the minute which when your on tv to the world is not clever to be honest. I dislike Liverpool FC as much as any Chelsea fan but you have to respect the 96 people who died going to watch a game we all love (common ground). It was also a minutes silence for the Italian player Piermario Morosini so probably didnt go down too well in Italy either. To all you bigoted ****s who shamed us yesterday take a little time to read about Morosini who lost both parents before he was 18 and recently had a brother commit suicide and he cares for his disabled sister and sadly passed away at 25 playing football, made me cry to be honest.......Grow up you sad ****s. (Not aimed at forum users....I hope.)
Agreed, horrible behaviour from some fans. I was sat to the left of all the singing, it was fairly quiet but you could hear the minority of fans who were doing it. I think blues chronical summed it up pretty well. "Thing is, the morons have got what they want: pathetic minority's actions are on the back pages. And the rest of us guilty by association."
I too Bob was to the left of the ****ers and it wasnt that quiet to be honest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk5cIIPMZm4
Kerry--well said! It took the gloss off our day! I regret to say we , like a most other clubs have a very small following who have got cotton wool for brains!
Agree, it saddened me, but with a 6pm kick off and fans drinking all day it was an inevitability, not excusing the behaviour but one guy near me was visibly drunk and slurring his speech.
Well said mate I think the booing was aimed at those who were chanting that ****e thankfully! They've shamed our club and I hope they're caught and dealt with!
Truly disgusting and inexcusable behaviour. Is it really that difficult to keep silent for one minute in order to show your respect to those have have passed in tragic circumstances? You are free to be as loud as you want before and after that. I was in the row one in the lower stand right behind the corner flag and I could hear it pretty loud coming from a few different sections above me, but there was one particular area that noise was being bellowed from quite clearly. It must have been quite a big group of them. The unfortunate thing is now these few repugnant idiots have tarnished us all with their actions and will make others watching think we are all like that. We really do not want these morons embarrassing and shaming us and our club so I really do hope that we catch them and Chelsea makes an example out of them by banning them from our ground and from all our matches because in all honesty no decent person wants them there.
The booing was definitely directed at the scum who showed such disrespect but I had a feeling it was going to happen because of some "fans" apparent rage at Liverpool for not playing on the Sunday instead of us. Doesn't take away the disgust I felt though absolutely felt sick about it!
Unfortunately I couldn't go to the match but watched it live on ITV. I agree that was the only downer of the day it was a shame to hear that noise during the silence of respect. It only takes a really small group of d i c k h e a d s to let themselves and club down. Hope those minorities get banned.
Well said to all of you on here! IMO I think it shames all foootball supporters to be honest. We are all tarred with the same brush. It is also unfortunate that it was a 6pm kick off. No excuse but it is again down to Sky calling the shots on when football will be broadcast. Why this game could not have kicked off at 1pm I do not follow. Best of luck to Chelsea in the final
Drink is obviously a BIG factor in this, and the FA decision to play this game at 6pm on a sunday was mental.I work in Liverpool street in the city and Spurs fans were downing pints at 10.30 am in Wetherspoons Hamilton hall and that pub opens at 7am so when I saw them they could have been there already for 3 and a half hours and I dare say there were pubs where our fans were doing exactly the same. To be honest the fact that the Spuds fans deserted their team when it went 3-1 probably averted what could have been total mayhem as both sets of fans waited in Wembley way to get back in the station.
Yes that probably was a good thing given the circumstances of the second goal. I did not realise it was an FA decision though! Quite ludicrous and if so they are culpable as well then IMO.
I'm afraid to say that in today's society there are those who don't have any respect for anyone or anything. Sad.
Is it any wonder how these idiots cannot hold their drink when they only have two pint brains to start with. If their drink went to their heads, all I can say is that it must have been pretty lonely up there!! If any of you Chelsea fans know who these idiots are, you owe it to the good name of your club to identify them, to the appropriate authorities, so that they can be dealt with accordingly. The same goes for those Chelsea fans who, according to reports circulating up here, racially abused a 15 year old jewish Spurs fan, on a train, and poured beer over his head.
