Totally true I'm afraid. If Humberside's OB strategy was merely to film and then ask other forces to divert their resources to apprehending/charging spectators living in other counties, presumably they agreed that policy IN ADVANCE with the respective police forces and their contact people. ("Hello, it's Humberside Police here, would you agree to identify and apprehend suspects in your area on our behalf either FOC or at an agreed hourly rate?") If this conversation did not take place and no agreement was reached , it's no surprise that various police forces effectively laughed at Humbs OB's request that they dedicate hundreds of hours of their own resources/budget to doing a task that they had not been consulted about nor agreed to do. I would have enjoyed seeing some of the responses that Insp Darren Downs got from them when he requested that they do the hard work his own force was incapable of doing.
They already had names, addresses and video evidence on all of them, all they had to do was pick the ****ers up. Twenty more solved crimes to improve their stats and everyone's happy.
Do you have any idea how the police force works? Day by day you make yourself look less of a controversial prick and more a complete and utter idiot...
