It has been mentioned a lot but I feel I have to come to his defence.

I cannot believe that what Mig does on a Saturday is left up to him. I'm sure that we train on how we distribute the ball from the keeper. Well I would like to think we do.

Now I wouldn't want to be rolling the ball out to John "I can find any player wearing the oppo strip" O'shea! In fact the only one I would trust to role it out to from our back four would be Gardner.

Would you then choose to roll it out to Catts??? Probably not? The new boy Rose, let's not put too much pressure on. To be honest our defensive unit are not that great on the ball and I'm not sure they can play it out from the back, especially against the bigger teams.

I think our plan is to hit Fletcher, he holds it up or brings in Sess and we build from there.

This tactic has thus far pretty much failed due to Fletchers fitness and Agger being allowed to plough into the back of Fletcher and get away with it.

So let's not put too much blame on Mig. I'm fairly sure he's been told to do it.

If Mig started rolling it out to defenders or throwing to midfielders he would get slated as well with cries of his rolling is poor or his throwing is poor. Our team is not good enough to play the ball out of defence and, more likely than not our midfield are generally overrun so the ball goes up the field in the hope that the forwards can get a knock on for someone.
He is more than likely being told to do this and hasn't taken it upon himself to disregard his instructions from above.

This wouldn't be such a big issue if we didn't seem to pass the ball back to the keeper so often. There was one occasion on Saturday where we took a throw in level with the Liverpool box and then passed it all the way back to Mig....he then boots it forward and we lose it....what the f**k was he doing getting the ball from there??

He's distribution is absolutely effin w*nk.

He's shot stopping is very very good.
He's ability at crosses is improving but punches to often as opposed to catching.

Pleased he's here but still think overall Westwood is a better GK.

He doesnt need to roll it out to the defence, just give it to one of our midfielders. Instead, he boots it up the pitch straight towards the oppositions goal, where Fletcher is standing by himself vs 4 defenders..

Having said that, our midfield is a bit on the small side height wise and is one of the reasons I would like to see Meyler play there (one of the few midfielders hitting 6ft or over in our squad).

Got to say I think Mig is the better keeper even if he can`t catch crosses
