The premier league sacking season has begun! Surely this must put Mick in the spot light as he had many successful seasons in the PL. Thoughts?
Wouldn't fit into Ashleys mould of want he wants in a manager, plus I don't think MM would want to work with him. Always a chance it might happen, but I'm not losing sleep over it. Steve Bruce or Steve McLaren would be my bet.
hmm, McLaren could be a good shout, but also unlikely. If Steve Bruce is fed up with Allam, and thinks he can live with Ashley, that could happen.
This is all wishful thinking from the Budgies. They know that we have the best manager in the championship and they are understandably jealous given their lowly position. All the talk from them at the start of the season was about how many points would they win the league by! Now they are talking about how many points will they need to reach the play offs!
You just have to love them warky, must soon be time for a delia half time rally call, lets hope its when we play them at the carrot patch.
I wasn't trying to stir up a hornets nest. Just an honest question. I am one of the city fans who would wish Town well if they get up, thinks it's good for the region. It's often the top of the championship that gets raided when prem managers get sacked. No need for the hostilities with me.
I would imagine that Mike Ashley would look to please the partisan crowd by bringing in a 'big' name.. The fans have always had the illusion (Delusion?) of being such a massive club that they will be crying out for a Copello or Ancelloti Plus, I think even Ipswich fans were a little apprehensive of Mick's appointment, simply because he isn't the most 'fashionable' of managers. Effective - Yes, but not the most sought after managers. Which is fine by us, people can talk about the likes of Howe etc. and Mick can stay focused on getting us promoted I wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of AVB and Rafa Benitez getting linked/interviewed for the job
If we turn up like we can I think we will win. We have suffered/are suffering a relegation hangover. Just look at the teams that went down with us. We are also suffering from a lack of leadership at board room level as the appointment of Adams shows. It's a shame for us as we do have the squad. Think after Hughton McNally lost confidence in himself. We can still pull it around though. You guys have what what we had when we went up, team spirit and togetherness. This and a little luck can get you a long way but I wouldn't start counting your chickens just yet.
Oh and good luck guys. Hope you do go up and happy new year! It's very hard getting used to winning most weeks and then it switching around though. I prefer it in the championship.
Give it a few(14?)Seasons and it will start to grate!Best Wishes to you for 2015 too ( apart from 1st March)
