Tbh, Allen, Lucas have specifically unimpressed me and so have Gerrard and Henderson (at times) but not as much as the other 2 With Gerrard out I thought (before last Sun() it could be a blessing in disguise and hopefully this'll prove to be true as maybe this trio complement each other more? Dont know However, £ity and £havs midfield will be stronger than Spurs although on paper Spurs should obv be v strong We need a dm most definitely, its crazy how long Lucas hasnt had any competition mate
Funny you should say that about Lucas, thought Allen put in a very good performance at DM the other day. Though I still think we can easily upgrade either Allen or Lucas, both being able to play DM could greatly benefit us, could turn out to be a decent combination in the middle. But then again so was Spucas, just got to work out whether they match our ambition in the long run.
Im not sure Allen can do it though, hes energetic enough to press when we havent got the ball but not strong enough in the tackle, and Lucas isnt given his position as well Better at tackling than Allen but like I say, hes the main dm and should be better than what he is, gives away alot of freekicks Hes good but need to be more assured in tackling I think
