Half the season gone, and we begin the second half with our next game at Forest. We beat them recently, and they currently lie in the bottom three, seemingly unable to dig out a goal from anywhere. I notice Blackstock is back after his injury against city last season, and I wonder the price of him scoring a winner against us on New Years Day. Ok playing Devil`s Advocate there, but it would be typical city luck don`t you think? Let`s not be despondent, we have won 10, drawn 9 and lost four league games, not to mention the Carling Cup unbeaten run……who could have imagined that at the beginning of the season? We have the opportunity to strengthen the squad, but we must trust in Darcy Blake and Anthony Gerrard more, we cannot let them go rusty. Earnshaw must shape up or walk the highway, he cannot be left to rot away, he is better than that…..or was! Come on Malky, we started much better than expected and we want more, the talent that is Miller needs better support, and he could take us further. The winning ethic of Southampton seems beyond us, but we can keep in the picture and take it at the death….me thinks!
