It has been an absolute pleasure over the last few weeks to listen to the expert commentory of Town legend Mick Mills. The guy just talks complete sense and his passion for Town is just amazing. I would love it if he came back to Town in some capacity ok maybe not as manager but he has a great deal to offer and his knowledge of the game is second to none! His thoughts on our defensive frailties are quite damning and he thinks that Tommy Smith especially just isn't good enough. Keep it going Mick and I look forward to more of your insightful commentory throughout the season.
Mick Mills is an excellent summariser, I get a perfect picture in my mind when he describes what is going on, as regards team formations, the way the game is going, and his thoughts on how to correct things. Likes to speak his mind, without being too bullish or dogmatic. Think it is criminal we have not got him employed in some capacity, management did not seem to be his strong suit, but surely he could do a better job than Clegg, know if I was a player who I would rather deal with. Seems Clegg has a rival as the most useless, as regards getting new players in, one Daniel Levy of Spurs.
My son had his picture taken with Mick a few months back and he was an absolute gentleman! He always gives you time and I have to say that I am still in awe of him and what he has achieved in the game. He should be an Ipswich Town ambassador and I would defo give him a job within the club because lets face it he knows Ipswich Town inside out. Mick Mills would be a great link between the fans and the club management and I know that he does have very strong views on how the club should be run and where it is going wrong at the moment. Mick Mills and John Wark, my 2 all time football heros!
