However, despite Cisséâs on-field indiscretions, his manager is backing the former Liverpool forward to return from suspension and fire the Hoops towards safety with daunting games against Chelsea and Manchester City looming large. âOne of the reasons we brought him here is because we think heâs a player that can make a difference,â Hughes said. âWe want him to do that in the games we have him available for. Obviously heâs been out for a number of weeks so Iâm mindful of that. âBut certainly heâs going to play a big part from now until the end of the season in terms of what he can produce on the pitch to really get us over the line.â The QPR boss added: âHis red cards are disappointing for us all but we have to get over that as thereâs nothing we can do about it. âThe first one [against Wolverhampton Wanderers] was unfortunate, the second one [against Sunderland] was a situation which could have been avoided from Djibrilâs point of view, and heâs held his hands up and admitted that. âBut heâs back now, and there are three games to make amends somewhat, although we donât pitch it to him like that. I feel he has a real determination from within to make his mark and make a difference in the last few games.â The France international has played for seven clubs in a career spanning 14 seasons and Hughes believes Cisséâs experience can be a vital resource for QPR in their final three games. âHeâs been at top clubs and scored goals at this level for many years, playing in Champions League finals,â Hughes added. âHeâs got huge experience which weâre allowed to draw upon. âThe opening of his QPR career has been frustrating for him but that doesnât reduce the quality he can produce on any given day. âWe hope that from now until the end of the season, heâll have games where he can take the game away from the opposition.â
What he really means is: "yes he's been a bit of a cock but if I do anything rash so am I by association, dont worry I'll fix it" Fair enough me thinks, wouldn't be surprised to see one of our own sent of for passing wind this season the way things have gone. lay off the Goulash Akos or it could be you......
I'm not so sure, he's a cautious one is MH! Reckon if Cisse plays at all he'll come in for BZ, though I'd love to see him play from the start just behind BZ or HH.
