I watched the game tonight thinking to myself, I wonder how Barca would go on at Stoke and would we give them a game? I actually think we would!

Waddo, I love the smell of optimism in the morning!! No offence mate but they would murder us.

We would have 1% possession, if that, last night Xavi and Inestia (sp) were rested, last weekend Bayer Lev beat Bayern Munich!!
Just simply Messi is the best footballer that I have seen in the 21st Century and quite possibly one of the greatest I have ever seen, if not THE greatest.

But you are joking, aren't you <yikes>

Potts, yup an unnecessay quip by Chiles, but he is a Baggies fan, so you have to forgive him. Martinez got it spot on, he just looked at him, smiled and said he could do a job at ANY team.

Tell you what though, I remember Sir Stan and Tom Finney playing in the 50's and I would love a tardis for 90 minutes to get them playing on that carpet of a pitch at the Nou Camp, in that Barcelona side.

Now there's a thought to bring a smile

If he was 2 foot taller and from an African or Caribbean province he would defo by selected. Even better if he plays CB!

Nah, the match would be abandoned when half our team got sent off for getting too close to Barca players. ;)

I would pay to watch us play Barcca.. daft as it may seem. I think? you may be right. Remember Valencia, OK they are behind Barcca and Real Madrid but not that far behind.
Having just see Utd IMHO given the runaround by Atheletic B.. tonight, I'm convinced that the Premier League is no longer the "best" League in World football.
That Utd game tonight was a JOY to watch. <ok> at times Atheletic B made Barcca look average. <doh>

Couldn't agree more Potts, one of the best, if not the best away performance I have seen at OT. That Utd keeper made some cracking saves didn't he and that 19 year old Iker whatshisname looks some player.

    A pleasure to watch.

Even when the comm's mentioned the GREAT Bobby Charlton during the game. They said he had been invovled in some great nights for Utd and so he has, I remember them very well. BUT, that for me has to be the best I've seen ANY team play at O.T. In Europe anyway? Some Utd fans are saying we we're poor but that was a very good Utd side. Given a lesson in how too keep a football last night. PULIS i HOPE you we're watching that too! <whistle>

A PLEASUURE too see it. I didn't want the game to finish, and I watched it late on channel 5+ not knowing the final score. BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE, I enjoyed it MORE than the Barcca game personally.

Potts <ok>, re the OP, I read that Gary Linaker said that Messi was the best he had seen in his life time, well Gary PLAYED against Maradonna!! That's good enough for me!

    Fingers crossed this afternoon
