    From FOTB - Yasser

John Berylson has asked me to post the following on all sites available on his behalf:
I have been made aware by Fan Director Peter Garston of all the lovely notes of condolences that have appeared online, by text and email regarding the recent death of my father.
A wonderful father whom we all shall miss terribly, at the age of 97 I didn’t expect my heart to break when he died at such a great age but in fact it did.
My fathers life included working on the Hoover dam, he joined the American Army prior to the start of WW2 he educated himself to undergraduate and graduate level. In the army he fought alongside George S Patton in Africa with whom he became very close, subsequent to the African victory he served at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force planning the airborne invasion of Continental Europe, also participated in the invasion. He was once again seconded to George S Patton fighting in the battle of Huertgen and the battle of the Bulge (Bastogne).
He was at the liberation of Paris, Munich and Dachau at which time he was commanding officer
On leaving the army he retired as a Lt Colonel with 4 medals for combat and bravery, in 1973 he was awarded the Royal Order of the VASA by the Kingdom of Sweden for his life long service to the Swedish Crown.
Thank you all so much for your kind words during this sad time it is a great comfort knowing I have been accepted into the Millwall family.
JB also made it clear that a recent article in the Boston press mentioned an allegiance to Liverpool, we all know this isn’t the case, he is a friend of the owner and looks at their results but that is as far as it goes, JB doesn’t like people questioning his dedication to Millwall so wanted to put the record straight.

    Pete

Well you can't say JB's dad didn't live a fruitful life and a brave man to boot.

    Get's my respect.
