they did batter them in the park after yes yr right because i left early with me being sick at half time due to dodgy burger i ate (i was only 10 at the time)i rem ****ting my pants so to speak with all the fighting outside the ground people throwing stones if i rem it was quite an ugly scene for a ten year old first away game to be confronted with that!i think i had to phone for a lift at charing cross that day as no way was i going home in all that milarky,i think that was my first taste of the football violence back in those days not very nice as i said before!i was so looking forward as well if rem going see this match i think i went with people from my alderwood class at the time.Funny thing was my second visit to fulham i had another bad dosage of food poisoning from a burger again at the 2-0 defeat when saha scored so my advice dont buy their burgers !!!!!im sure other fans on here have encounted the football hooligan days at games what was your worst experience traveling away with charlton?im glad all those days are long gone in the game but it was a bit unpleasant experience first away game let me tell u

Thanks all for your kind words about Fulham. When I read the first comments about thug Fulham fans I did think that was unusual as we are usually a good crowd and pretty welcoming.

I have always said Fulham and Charlton are similar in a way as they are proper football teams, proper grounds and proper fans. Tonight I go to the game and thinking we have a chance, let's just make sure we give it a go. If you win great, what a feeling.

I just got back from the Liverpool game so very happy. Great mix of fulham and Liverpool fans in the pub. That's what it is all about.

Look forward to seeing you all 7th or 8th Jan - I'll certainly be there.

I find the comments generalising about Fulham fans embarrassing, never had a bad experience there and went several times in the Premiership days and always found the ground to be very safe and no problems with the fans. I like the neutral zone at Craven Cottage even though most who go there support the home team, think it's a really good idea. Do any other clubs have a similar zone I wonder?

I was at the game, but at that time I always got autographs after the game.
