ok, anyone able to provide assistance on the following issue: Due to back problems (slipped discs etc) I went ahead and bought a memory foam mattress (and some memory foam pillows recently). Fookin problem is it is making me sweat loads. cant sleep anyone else experienced this? and is there a way to reslove this?
Aye, slept on a few memory foam mattresses and had sort of the same problem, I think its sometimes to do with how well you sleep. Some of my deepest sleep I wake up from sweating like mad so it may be your just getting a much better nights sleep. Strangely I dont have the same issues with memory foam mattress covers which slip on over normal mattresses
I know 2 blokes who have the sweating on memory foam problem. doesnt seem to be linked with how ell you sleep have tried covers etc, still no luck. hence posting it on here <iknow>
Having had no sleep at all last night due to an aching back I'm interested to know whether this memory foam helps. I bought a new bed a few months ago and the mattress that came with it, Silent Night I think and supposed to be orthopaedic, is a touch soft and already looks "dished" where my arse is when I sit up. As for the sweating, I'd recommend a decent quality padded mattress cover under the sheet, best one I bought was £80 from M&S, really reduced sweatiness. The ex has still got it...
