Norwich (a), Bolton (a), Liverpool (a) - all sold out to ST holders.

Now this is really starting to take the piss. We've obviously taken **** allocations again which is why they're selling out so quickly. I've got no problem whatsoever with ST holders getting first option on tickets, it's right they should. But surely selling memberships where one of the benefits is supposedly to get better access to away tickets is just bull considering there is very little chance of away tickets making it to members sale.

I've got a membership, and to date the only away matches that made it to members sale was Villa, Stoke and QPR (correct me if I'm wrong).

So as a member I'm paying for something that I'm unlikely to get. I wanted to go to Man C, Man U, Bolton and Liverpool but never had a chance. I'm now wondering if I'll be able to get an away ticket to any more away games this season (been to Villa, Wolves and Stoke - managed to get a ticket that a ST holder had returned for Wolves). Certainly if we keep taking 50% I don't think so.

I know this has been covered before but it takes the piss when fans are missing out and the club claim they decide on a 'game by game' basis. That's bullshit. We'd easily have taken double the numbers we did to Man U, Man City, and Liverpool (as it seems we only took a small allocation).

I'm pissed off but a bit stuck. I don't want to return my membership and lose the 20 odd loyalty points I've accumulated in the past few seasons.

Surely there is a way to petition the club to increase the allocations it takes for away matches. Surely they arent doing this to spite the fans <whistle>

Had the same issue last season with the membership as it specifically stated an 'increased chance of buying tickets before they go to general sale'. This was when they just started to reduce the ticket allocation they could receive.

I sent a letter highlighting the allocations they have taken previously for matches compared to recent allocations and asked if the current policy of lower allocations would continue. If the lower allocation policy was to continue, I'd like a refund as it was marketed under false pretences and Trading Standards would be informed.

Letter with notification of refund received shortly afterwards with no mention of the 'existing allocation policy'.

I didn't bother applying this year.

Not worth becoming a member if they aren't even taking enough tickets to cover the ST holders wanting them. I know the members package was very decent in the past and probably worth the cost, but as things stand with getting tickets now it's a no no.

Will probably write to the club saying what a joke it's becoming, not that it will make a difference.

When it's at the stage where even ST holders miss out on away tickets there's something badly wrong.

I managed to get tickets to both Manchester games as well as Wolves and Bolton last season with my membership, but not even all the season ticket holders who wanted one this year were able to do so. I've only been able to get to Forest and Blackburn so far (taking into account work and costs)

It also seems like the incident at Darlo has been gleefully taken advantage of, as fans wishing to attend any away game are now forced to buy a pretty pointless membership. If it wasn't for the fact that I like getting to any away games I can, I'd be following OT's lead.

If, hypothetically, we did start taking larger allocations :emoticon-0112-wonde, how would people feel about a second loyalty point period being introduced when the members' sale started? I can't commit financially or logistically to a season ticket at present, and I'm in a similar situation to Why aye Cabaye in that I've built up around 25 loyalty points, but have to scrabble around desperately trying to get tickets when the members sale starts. I'm sure that other clubs operate similar systems, and it would be nice to be rewarded for my "loyalty" after the season ticket holders had been rewarded for theirs.

I'm fuming for this exact same reason.

I'm going to call the box office (even though they can't do anything about it) and rant.

Completely agree and sympathise with your situation.
Bought one membership at the start of the season before the whole 1 ticket per member so me and my dad could go to games but it's pointless now. We'll just have to go in the home end for London games or if be split up, one in the away end and one in the home end if I get lucky and get a ticket with a membership. Though that's not even likely.

Exactly this. I take my little brother to perhaps 2 or 3 away games per season and if I want to do so this year I have to shell out another twenty five quid (I'm not going to). He would get his own smart badge though.

Where were all these extra season ticket holding attendees on that monday night in November at Brammal Lane, eh!? <laugh>

    Everyone should.

Told them that they didn't fulfil their promises about members getting some priority for away tickets and that taking up the smallest allocation possible everywhere we go was the reason why.

That I feel robbed and asked them why we wouldn't take 3000 to Old Trafford when we could take 5000 to Blackburn on a Wednesday night in the Carling Cup.

Guess the only way they might take notice is if enough people write to them. Hopefully they'll reassess for next season. The more supporters we have at away matches the better to cheer the lads on.
