For example you predict Hull City to finish in 7th place and they actually finish in 6th you get 1 point. If the actually finish 7th, you get 3 points. I should perhaps add, if you predict a team will in in the bottom places of their league and they actually end up in the top (as unlikely as it may be) and vice verse - you will get 0 points!
