Why do people get wound up when they are bashed about a winning driver??, the guy I am following is not even in podium contention but yet I and he get bashed for it but there is no need to get frazzled.
From a person not biased against Button, Hamilton, Alonso and Massa, I reckon they are as good as each other when they need to be, but the underline thing is, Button and Massa have a more relaxed style to Alonso and Hamilton. This has been to their advantage this season.
When the regulations change in a couple of years time the results may change again. We have to agree that at the moment Hamilton and Alonso are squeezing the best out of their cars at the moment.

Button simply looks for a perfect setup and misses out in sheer aggression.
Massa's form may have more to do with his state of mind.

Massa's injury has had no effect on him, he simply wasn't that good to start with. As to Button, I said something similar elsewhere, Hamilton can drive any car to it's strengths and over-rides it's weaknesses where he can, Button won't drive a car to it's strengths because he's scared of it's weaknesses, as he gradually gets used to it he gets faster, I don't think he has a great inbuilt 'feel' for a car. However both 'styles' have their pro's and cons, driving an unbalanced car fast can end up in a wall if you get too 'comfortable'

Miggins - can't agree with that.
Massa is still suffering from poor confidence, even though Ferrari have tried. Massa missed a WDC due a car slowing at the very last few hundred metres.
Button ruins a car setup in pursuit of perfection, Hamilton used to just race the wheels off it.
Button 'feels' a car far more than most others.

That is how Button made JV look crap. JV was boggled by how smooth he took the lines.
