do you guys remember me telling you that he was a complete mercenary and would hold you to ransom the first chance he got. Good player at this level, but not worth the salary and wages bearing how much grief he causes in the club he is at....
You're probably not wrong on him being a mercenary but, although I think he's probably better gone now, he did score much needed goals for us and would be happy to watch him have a go in the Prem if he can get there. I don't know he's good enough for a team In that league to build around him, which is what he really wants/needs, but he's a technical rather than physical player so he could chug on a good few years. He's always looked a bit of a poor mans Wayne Rooney to me - which isn't a bad thing for the Championship.
Chippy, I think the difference between him leaving us and him leaving you is that most Fulham fans, as indicated by Silkship's comments above, will wish him well when he moves on, rather than bombarding his next club's board with constant moans about what a terrible man he is. Assuming that we get back at least what we paid for him (I haven't heard the details of any transfer yet), I think he hasn't been a bad signing. In most of the games I saw him play, he looked good and the problems in the team were generally elsewhere. If our previous managers had delivered on the ambition that was probably sold to Ross when we signed him, he wouldn't be leaving. Good luck to him.
Bombard? constant? I think this is my second ever visit here.. Guess you guys don't welcome incomers. I will close the door on my way out?
I just used the search feature to see how many posts chippy has made on our board: 68. Just a tad more than two visits then.
