So that one is confirmed. If he meant he wanted to stay at Leeds, he would have said so. Definitely sniffing out a move away.

Lets just get the next week out the way, hopefully Gradel will still be a Leeds player and then see where we are when the transfer window opens again. Selling him is pointless, it will happen with 24 hours to go before the window closes and Ken will say "oh dear, happened a bit later for us to do anything but Simon will have funds in January" and we all know what happens in January... Sweet FA

It could be Max talking up his wages with LUFC. Interest from other teams always gives you a good lever in negotiations.

Have Leeds actually said that they have not offered him a new contract? I thought that they had said something about not being able to match his demands, which isn't the same thing.

quotes are often taken from other quotes to make a story fit.

"If Leeds want to sell me, and I don`t want them to, then if I keep playing well I`ll end up somewhere better (than West Ham)"

    Makes a difference dunt it.

Still an official quote but can be changed oh so easily.

If he's sold, he's sold. Nothing we can do about it if a new contract offer is not good enough. Arsenal are finding that out big time. However, hopefully the Ayatullah will test the waters with a new contract offer of whatever our paltry maximum wage is
