Midfielder Charis Mavrias has joined 2 Bundesliga side Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old joined the Black Cats in 2013 from Greek side Panathinaikos. Mavrias made his Sunderland debut as a second half substitute in a 4-2 Capital One Cup win over MK Dons in the same season and scored his only goal for the club in the FA Cup victory over Kidderminster Harriers at the Stadium of Light.
Would have liked to see what he could do at senior level. Although not one manager had any faith in him so he couldn't have been doing much in training and for the U21s.
It's possible he could still have a future with Sunderland but for now it's another chip off the wage block.

We will only get him back if he fails to impress, sounds about right . Why cant we do these sort of deals, ie M'Villa, Alonso etc.
