Afternoon! As i'm sure you are aware, my team (Liverpool) play your team (Norwich City) in the Premier League on Saturday. Due to cross-board threads being temporarily disabled, I cannot cross-board the match thread i've done for our game. If you pop over to the Liverpool board and look for the thread entitled: The Official Not606 Match Thread: Norwich City Vs Liverpool (Premier League) you will have found the match thread i've done. I am aware that yourselves on the Norwich board have the American style thread that was very successful when we met earlier in the season. I fully expect that come 5.30 on Saturday, you'll be on that thread but it would be good if some of the Norwich fans on here came over to the Liverpool board, popped onto our match thread and gave your thoughts on the game etc. So, do pop over to the Liverpool board and get involved in the match chat!
Likewise Chris. we will post a link for our thread on your board and hope to see some of your lads and lasses of course, mustn't forget Ze Liverbird, on our thread. Can you post a link on here for us as well?
Here's the link to our match thread Maestro. http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...ad-Norwich-City-Vs-Liverpool-(Premier-League)
Interested to know how Liverpool fans see this panning out.. It feels like a lot of teams struggling to get points arrest their poor form against us and start a good run. Plenty of other contributing factors but just feels like what happens with us at the moment. As a side note, how much do fixture schedules determine a season? If you are a newly promoted team and end up playing starting fixtures against the top sides, must be hard to maintain confidence. Whereas starting against relegation candidates (and having a better chance of winning) could be a much needed confidence boost (unless you lose in which case, good luck!!) Equally, you don't want to be playing man u, Chelsea, arsenal etc. for your last games.
Whilst I cannot answer for all the Redmen, I think that we are generally expecting a a continuation of our season so far - dominating and out-playing opponents, creating numerous chances, adding to our woodwork fetish, etc. etc. and then drawing or losing! The ONLY difference is that this is probably the last opportunity for some of our players to stake a claim for a starting in the Cup Final team.
In the grand scheme of things, neither club has much to lose or gain from this match. For that reason it could be a high-scoring belter, or a poor draw. I'm certainly not putting this down as a Liverpool victory. Could be anything.
