Short match report as not much to say (plus been delayed by cooking an early dinner).

A fairly dire affair that never really got going until the last 5 mins. A gale force wind didn't help but the two teams cancelled each other out and neither showed enough attacking intent to win.

Argyle started brightly enough and forced a corner in the first minute but that was about it. CT came close when they hit the post and LM saved from the resulting ricochet.

Argyles throw ins were awful- at least 80% were wasted and ended up with the opposition having possession- pub team stuff.

Second half no better until Luke Young and Tyler Harvey replaced Boco and Blizzard with 30 mins left- both of whom had been totally ineffective. By then we were 1 down from a deflected shot that LM could do nothing about. TH was busy and got stuck in in midfield and LY pinged some great passes across the pitch. LY then had a goal bound shot tipped onto the post but soon equalized with a great free kick from a very similar position to that against Exeter away.
Argyle nearly nicked it at the end when Reid shot just wide, but to be honest we probably deserved a point at best.

That Luke Young received the sponsors and my MOTM nomination says it all. One to forget.

I would add absolutely nothing to your report lyndhurst. This game reminded me of 15 matches ago when we couldn't string anything together. Mu MOM today would have been Alessandra who I thought was the only player for the 90 minutes who put in any effort at all. Cheltenham were as shocking as we were except we were the home side who should have done much better. Awful game.

Strange sort of performance which I put down to tactics & management I'm afraid: Banton & Boco didn't get into the game in any meaningful way in what was effectively a 4:2:4 in the 1st half which morphed into 3:1:6 in the search for the equalizer.

Only Alessandra moved around to try to tie things together: I'm absolutely with Sensible, Alessandro was MoM by a long way notwithstanding Young's good last 16 mins and superb free kick. Alessandro works hard, he's strong and has decent levels of skill, looks more & more like a good acquisition at this level & probably above.

These players can do better than that and it may I suppose take a while to integrate Banton. Luke Young to me should be a first pick every week: he can pass the ball and it makes such a difference. If that means he has to dispense with one of the wide players, so be it.

The successful chase for the equalizer and a great goal to finish it sent the crowd home happier than they might have been. A flawed performance. Can and should do better.

Evening BC- in answer to your question about Tuesday, by all accounts there is every chance the match will be OFF. The pitch was waterlogged on Saturday but they still had an egg chasing game (league not union so not as damaging) and intelligence suggests that unless we don't have any more rain the surface is unlikely to recover in time.
