A bit later than normal but here goes.

A fairly indifferent first half with both teams making many mistakes including lots of misplaced passes, that is until 5 mins before half time. D&G obviously thought the ball should have have been put out of play following an alleged foul by the skipper, there then followed a series of passes close to the lyndhurst touch line an I was convinced the ball went out of play but the ref/linesman gave neither the foul or the throw in - the ball landed at RR feet and he scored a class goal off the inside of the post. Minutes few later D&G equalized- again following a definite foul against Berry and a rare defensive mistake by Maxi Blanchard. so 1-1- at half time.

Argyle much improved 2nd half and showed some attacking promise (which was more than D&G did) but it was Luke Young's 'suerezesq' free kick that settled it- another top quality strike. D&G clearly unhappy but not sure why -one of there players booked for protesting and Wayne Burnett on the pitch at the end having a long discussion with the ref.....I suspect that they thought an argyle player interfered with the wall- didnt see anything wrong myself but yet to see the replay.

Well worthy of the the 3 points- MOTM ruben read was outstanding and Young and trotters also v good.

5 points off the playoffs, looking up instead of down- bring on Tuesday!

got to go as dr who starting!!

I actually thought that Argyle were lucky today lyndhurst and were second best on the park for most of the match. I'll take the result because I've seen Argyle lose so many times when they have been best and that's the nature of football. You have to score more than the opposition to win and it matters not how much of the ball you have or what you do with it.

I think Dagenham are a decent side and they will beat a lot of teams if they continue playing that way. I kept waiting for them to score but somehow they just didn't. Against the run of play Argyle put one away. Nothing wrong with it although I think Dagenham were expecting the ball to be put out of play because of an injury to Hourihane. Criminal that they stopped playing for a minute. I disagree with you about the Dagenham goal though lyndhurst. Right in front of me and there is no way Berry was fouled. He had the pace, had the ball and chose to throw himself on the floor rather than play the ball. To be honest he had a mare for most of the match. We contrived to trap the ball in the box and the rest is history. 1 - 1 at halftime was quite flattering to us.

Second half we were better. Alessandra had a good match for me along with Reid, Hourihane and steady from most of the others. We were good for the winner and never looked like conceeding after getting it. Agree MOM was Reid who looked well up for today. Overall it was half decent but I still maintain Dagenham will feel agrieved and probably rightly so. The other results today for once were good for Argyle and the season is definately not over with a possible promotion push feasible. This league is so tight. Happy tonight.

Well done Argyle.......awhile ago this would have ended up a defeat.

We might not see D&R as a big club....but you could say that this season they are punching above their weight and are having a good season.

So what has changed in the Argyle camp......you could say luck.....quite often the answer there is that you make your own luck....and maybe so.

Years back one of the satirical TV programmes used to have a ' fickled finger of fate' spot each week....no matter what you did if your luck was out nothing would change the end result for you.

PAFC in recent years could be seen as...just waiting for it all to go wrong....and of course it did.

The team was expected to do poorly and of course it rarely let us down...a state of mind existed......and our cup was always half empty...never half full.

John Sheridan will be the first to admit that he doesn't always get it right......some of the players he has brought in are no better...sometimes worse than we already have ......but he is an honest toiler and his frustration can come over in his match interviews and he will not hide his feelings when it doesn't work out.

We could be on the cusp of something good....moving nearer a play-off spot and hopefully a run in the cup.....but of course the 'fickled finger of fate' doesn't give up that easily on it's victims and we could easily be dragged down by a couple of poor results and the frustration and moaning start all over again.....in some quarters it never goes away....'the mini-stand brigade' are always waiting to turn the knife once more.

The attendance figure has dropped to nearer 6000...even after seven games unbeaten.....lets hope that that is because pay-on-the-day supporters are finding it financially tough as Christmas approaches.

A Tuesday night win at struggling Torquay could be just what the doctor ordered and set us up for some of the harder games before the end of the year....we could soon be the highest Devon club in this league.....that would be a great Christmas present for us all.

Not gonna be an easy game that's for sure but Argyle must give 100% during the whole match....a point would be nothing to moan at but lets hope for better!
Lyndhurst......Dr. Who not a patch on the old days eg. John Pertwee, The Major or was it the Colonel, and of course his lovely assistant Jane...was her name?

yes John Pertwee was the best (my era)..I think you were referring to Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart who later became 'The Brigadier' Sir Alistair Gorden Lethbridge-Stewart or possibly Sergeant Benton. Their companion was Sarah Jane Smith.

No I am not a Dr Who geek but wikipedia is a wonderful thing.

Struggled to keep up with Saturday's effort - much have been the post match wine.

That's true lyndhurst. I admit to watching the latest episode on playback. I am not a fan of the new Dr Who and the way the programmes are done. A bit to techno for my liking and I preferred it when the scenery moved a bit if you know what I mean. When William Hartnell got attacked by giant spiders and you could see the wires. They've sold out to big bangs and stuff now.
