I would imagine the pitch is totally and utterly waterlogged - ideal for Tom Daley to practice his diving
I'm praying for some of your weather at the SCG being an Englishman its bloody dire and being married to an Aussie - words cant express !!!
I am in your camp Antipodean, Also married to an Aussie but still an MCC supporter after 40 years out here I attended for all three days of the SCG test and suffered badly from just after lunch on the first day. Now the first 1 dayer has gone the same way - its got worse!!
I didn't get up early, but surprise surprise, England when batting first, had crawled to a total in the mid 200's again. How many times are they going to build an innings in this fashion before they realise it just doesn't work
Should we change the coach, or the players ? We have been well and truly let down by most of our experienced players during this tour - unforgiveable to my mind
England don't take ODIs seriously anyway so a combination of that and being generally rubbish means it'll be another pathetic few matches for England.
I saw the last test at the Oval and cant understand the turnaround in the basics - play yourself in and don't when a field is set for a certain shot proceed to play it and get out. I've never considered becoming an Australian Citizen as I don't believe you can change your birthright some people can some cant - born English die English but that's just me. When I go down for my regular infusion of amber nectar I'm asked whether I think its time and take the oath and become one of them - bollocks to that - I'm getting close to heralding the English Ladies first Ashes win but am loathe to do that in case it all goes pear. I take comfort in what goes around comes around and when its our turn again I hope I am more gracious in the win than this lot are.
