And no, it doesn't involve CAFC. Colu vs Sheff Utd is the match - this will be their final game in hand on us, with the possibility of them closing the gap to 7 points. I'd like to think Colu will take a point from them, but as I wasn't at the game last Tuesday I have nothing to judge them on. What do you guys think.. do Colu have it in them to help us out?

I've stopped looking at who other people are playing, we have to re-start winning ourselves otherwise it will be the play-offs
Colchester only got a nil nil draw at the weekend, against Wycombe, but then they were playing against the mighty Doc!
anyone know where the league one equivalent of http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm went? - and yes, i tried changing the "eng_prem" to "league-one" and "league_one". be nice to see what happens worse case scenario
Dunno, but this will show averga epredictions http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/runin.html It shows that 3 wins will likely guarantee promotion, and 4 the title. For me, Orient,Wycombe and Hartlepool should be bankers, need to find 1 more from somewhere - might be a nervous last day of the season.!
I wouldn't call anyone a banker, let alone Orient. I remember I thought that 2 seasons ago when we were going for promotion and Scott McGleish then popped up with a header and beat us 1-0 Winnable games are : Yeovil, Wycombe, Scunny, Oldham, and Hartlepool. I think we will also get results at 'udders and PNE. Carlisle is the one I actually fear the most. Also, Tewkes could you check your inbox? Ta
Even though our away form is the best part, i've discounted them just in case, and treating any point gained via aways will be a bonus. Cant see us getting much at Udd or Carlisle. Just need to make sure we score first goal for once, with the way we play, and the way that other teams play against us, thats been our problem recently. If we score first, then teams have to open up against us, however, i think out of the last 5 home games we have only scored first in 1 - Stevenage the others(Richdale,Bury,Colchester and Notts County ) have all been turgid stuff.
It's a very good point about scoring first. I'm sure the stats will show I'm talking rubbish, but it constantly feels that we go behind and have to fight our way back. Even this game I don't think we've started most games too well. Wonder why that is? In most cases it would be lack of confidence, but I don't think that can be attributed to us.
By Saturday night we may only be 4 points clear. That's pretty incredible considering how it looked ten days ago!!! I suspect there are a few twists and turns to come for all the top 6 teams. This looks as though it won't be very clear for another few weeks. That said, if we cans see our way to three wins in a row it will be pretty much done and dusted. This is not good for the old ticker!!!!
Jimbob, she'll be right - as they say in Oz. All we need is 4 wins 5 max to win the league - to me, Orient,Wycombe and Pools are a given - and we are bound to draw 1 or 2 games too - dont forget our goals diff will count as another point - we'll be fine.
Yep. Mind you the goal difference was looking dodgy at half time on Saturday too!!!! I thought we were heading for a six or seven drubbing at one point.
Wheres the confidence gone in our lads ? We will be back on track and win the league by 11 points i reckon. Fear no one boys, we are the team that has been most impressive all season.
I remember Slater saying at the beginning of the season that 'there will be a time in the season when we will not win for 3 games' - im hoping that wont happen on saturday, but we all knew it couldnt be all roses for all the season. We seem to have taken our foot off the pedal, but our away form is second-to none , and i have confidence for this saturday. CP said in his interview that Saturdays performance was a 'one-off' and wont happen again - in Sir Chris we trust !
I hope your right, Oz. But being a charlton fan, you sometimes resign yourself for the worse. But, COYR
