Nice to see he donates his column fee to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Says he has already indentified his transfer targets, looking good... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...land-short-options-midfield--Mark-Hughes.html
Mh has always talked sense and its a welcome read from the shambles served up by NW... anyone beginning to see the difference yet? ...Those NW mugs on sale in the shop are only good cleaning your paint brushes
MH and TF will have their homework done. They will have had a plan A & B for players depending on if we were relegated. The summer months are silly season, in relation to football transfers. I have more and more confidence that our club will do their business outside the media circus. I expect us to sign about 4-5 hardworking solid players and prob 2-3 young guns for the future. I agree with comments made on some other threads, that most of the names we have been linked with in recent days, will come nowhere near our club. Onwards and upwards.
Totally agree Dave. Despite the reservations of some, i think MH will do a very good job for us in the coming years. I am confident that MH knows the players he wants and the club will be working hard behind the scenes to get them. Considering all the sh**e that we have had to put up with as QPR fans, its hard for us to trust anybody at our club who wears a blazer. But IMHO, our current owners and management are the real deal.
He's right about false impressions at major tournaments. Glad we're not looking at anyone at the euros, certainly don't want to be waiting another month to bring players in.
I like this. Obviously dictated over the phone in a few seconds, he just comes across a professional and 100% focused. Nice touch donating the fee as well, though on his salary not such a big thing.
Considering massive clubs like Liverpool and villa have just appointed managers with no trophies and minimal top flight experience, we have no cause for complaint. We can do a lot worse than MH. I had no idea winning promotion is so highly regarded these days. Strange that no one has given warnock a sniff then...
You weren't saying that the Promotion Season when poor old COLIN had to give Taarabt his soother dipped in sugar and rock him to sleep every night. Short memories.
Nope I have been fairly consistent on my views re NW .. He did a good job at a point then lost it completely. Taarabt got us promoted by expressing himself and NW stumbled across the formation.
I see MH is delighted that we have Damien Roden (head of performance) and Mike Rigg (technical director) on board. I'm a bit behind in corporate-speak, but assume head of performance means fitness instructor, and technical director means scout.
What do they call Bog cleaner these days? Sanitary Technician or summat ain't it? Just goes to show you really can polish a turd.
Yeh MH is a smooth talker all right. I'd like to see some better results on the pitch myself before taking off on him. Most telling comment he made for me was that about the best time for moving is when your star is high - he is obviously trying pretty hard to talk his star up! Reckon if we do get a good start next season we won't see him for dust when a big Club have a vacancy.
Not sure about him, hasnt inspired me yet dont think he done any better than NW tbh,but he seems to speak highly of people around him,i`ll sit on the fence till next season, maybe 10 games?
Dead right Goldcoast! But in the name of continuity I hope TF gives him enough chance through to another Christmas, before sending Beard out on a new 8 am Sunday morning visit with the P45!
