    Newcastle are close to sealing a 26 million move for bayern striker mario gomez the deal will include guttierez moving the other way, gomez will sign a five year deal subject to a medical this week then fly out for the american tour, this comes directly from the players representatives

    Obviousy not true but would anyone take that deal? F

    Yes, would take that every day of the week, Jonas is a great lad but definitely worth it for Gomez. Never ever happening though.

    Nah. Even though he's good, he misses sitters and doesn't score enough to be worth 26 million, a 5 year deal most likely on high wages and Jonas moving away.

    Agreed it's a lot of money and i reckon we could get sturridge for 20 million, Gain sturridge keep jonas who definatly has a part to play next season and theres 6 million still left over

    More chance to see pigs fly then Ashley spend that much in a transfer window. But no I wouldn't want us to pay that much for Gomez anyway.

    Good player but £26 million is a huge sum of cash that I can't see Ashley parting with for just 1 player. Take into account Jonas going the other way and it's easily a £33 million deal.

    Jelle Vossen is cheaper.

    He's a world class striker who would want champions league football and high wages, would never happen anyways. Would love him here though!

    Doesn't score enough to be worth 26 million, a 5 year contract on high wages and one of the hardest working players on the team in exchange.

    I think he's a great player, but not worth that. He'd probably be on 90-100k wages at Munich anyway.

    If Sturridge is worth £20m then surely this guy must even be worth more than £26m! Lethal..can see him at Chelsea or City soon. People say the same about Ibrahimovic that he misses too many sitters. Who care's when he'll still score 30 a season!?

    If anything is going to warrant a high fee for a player its a 1 in 2 goal record, which he most certainly has.

    Also I love how Jonas suddenly becomes your favourite player when it backs up one of your different arguments.

    Doesnt matter anyway though because we'll never get him and the rumour will be fake <ok>

    Probably something cwarr cooked up whilst on the ****ter.
