Yo fam(tribute to Ranger) I'm getting controversial!

Decide.. yes/no/maybe/in 1 year's time(should we sell this player) in the summer :

Nolan? Yes. Lack of pace and technical ability let us down and he's soo damn slow! Put Barton back in the middle and buy a ''proper'' winger. I've never actually rated Nolan to be honest.. yes he's our main goalscoring threat but what else? He's a legend for what he's done to the mackems but we can do better!

Lover? Yes. Not good enough for the PL. Past it and getting old.

Kuqi? Release this average Championship player now!

Shola? Yes. No pace, inconsistent and injury-prone. **** being loyal if your no good anymore!

Smith? Yes. Past it. Not good enough to lace Tiote's boots.

Routledge? Yes, awesome Championship winger but a average PL winger. Just ask Palace, Spurs, Fulham and Pardew.

Raylor? Maybe/Yes depending on offer. Poor mans' Barton. Simply not PL-class anymore, championship standard IMO.

Perch? Yes. That's why CH got sacked. Bringing in these sort of players who look below-average in the PL. Simply a average versatile championship player. A man who can play in many positions but not a master of one.. he's looked good at CB but even then I'll prefer Kadar over him?

Xisco? Maybe. Pardew should give him a chance, look how he motivated Best!

    Opinions?

All depends on how many we bring in. We have a thin squad and cant afford to get rid of too many. I want to keep Nolan, Ameobi will probably never leave.

Get rid of Perch, Lovens, Kuqi and Raylor. Possibly Routledge, Xisco and Smith.

Nolan - keep, he's a good leader and still one of our best players
Lover - sell or keep as a squad player
Kuqi - was never a long term signing anyway, he won't expect us to renew a contract
Shola - if he was anyone else I would sell him but it seems wrong to let him go, he's been at nufc for as long as i remember (literally)
    Smith - sell
Routledge - sell to qpr or keep as a back up
Raylor - sell, too many fouls and not good enough quality
    Perch - sell
    Xisco - sell

Agree with Guthrie if we can get better back-up for Barton/Tiote. We also have Gosling who is more versatile and potentially 100% better than Guthrie.

Anyone who would even contemplate selling Nolan is a complete tool!!
an obviously doesnt watch our matches properly, He's much more than just a goalscorer, He's technically one of the best passers in the game, very good in the air, always in the right place at the right time and always runs his socks off for the team, add to that he's our captain, leads with inspiration on and off the field

Simply put, when fit he should start!

Sorry rant over, i just dont see where or why all this critism about Nolan comes from pace pace pace, Fabregas doesnt have pace but look how good he is!

Nolan is one of our best players and i hope he remains in nthe first team for atleast another good 3/4 years to come!

Your entitled to your opinion.. but mate are you serious about Nolan being one of the best passers in the game? He's average at best. He's slow, clumsy defensively at times, lacks technical ability such as close control, dribbling/tricks, pace, acceleration(something Cesc does have), speed of thought, reaction, vision/creativity(Barton/Ireland/Guthrie for example), marking(he got blown out by a 35 year old Salgado when we played Blackburn at St.James Park) and he lacks stamina.

He's decent enough to play in the PL but I'll rather keep him as a impact sub off the bench. need someone who is more ''active and alert'' and works better with Tiote.. someone like Artetea would be brilliant or moving back Barton in the middle or even Ireland.

How you can think of selling Nolan is beyond me.

He drives the team on, without him and Bartons presence in the team, we are shocking. We need both of them and Nolan is our top scorer I believe. How do you suggest we score then Sanchino? Rely on Leon Best?

Why not? He's shown he's good enough for the PL(OK he needs a full season but I'm convinced if he improves aspects of his game he can become competition/starter for the new striker/s).

Nolan - Good back up player so retain if better can be purchased in his place. That sums up my opinion.

Yes I get what you mean DannyGooTree, but why did the Bolton fans start to dislike Nolan and called for his head? because the goals dryed up and without that he's ****. Answer this question :

Without Tiote would Nolan have stilled scored as many goals as he's done already?

Bit harsh on Nolan don't you think? Where would we be without his vital goals this season?

Nolan scored 2 of his goals before Tiote had got here and has scored in games Tiote has missed through suspension. So maybe not as much, but he would still be our top scorer.

Probably in/near the relegation zone. You've got a great point there 5 goals 1 hat-trick..

Nolan's our main/best goalscoring threat and the stats don't lie but maybe it's time to put him back in the AM/SS role? He's just not as effective as usual in a standard 442 and always needs Tiote to pick up his ****.. he's simply a attacking-minded midfielder and I think we need someone more creative, energetic and a box-to-box type like Dorrans(West Brom), Craig Gardner(Birmingham), Charlie Adam(slow but equally as good a passer/creator as Barton), Jamie O'Hara(can score goals and basically a younger version of Nolan shall we say).. just a few proven PL players there.

Completely disagree about Nolan. He's been a great servant for the club and without his goals last season
we would most likely still be in the Championship. I agree this season he has been a passenger at times
    but his goals are vital.
He always seems to 'pop up' when needed.
I'm probs going to get slated for this but I also think Barton has stalled since the Gypsy left.

Good point mate. Agree on that point that we'll still be in the Championship if it wasn't for his vital goals, also agree on the ''passenger'' bit but despite playing poorly or very average at times he always seems to be in the right place at the right time.. very good finishing ability indeed!

:) Agree. Although I wouldn't mind someone like Xavi...

Vuckic is the natural replacement for Nolan right?

I'd agree to sell them all but Nolan & Ameobi, just my opinion but I think it'd hurt morale if we were to sell these 2.
