Maybe if City go into that last game knowing they could be crowned champions it could create its own tension and nervousness in the team.
But can you imagine how man city will play when the pressure is off and they put on a show for their fans? I can actually see them pouring forward and scoring every single time. They're professionals. They won't just switch off because the season is over, unless we've paid them to throw the game.
It'll be an epic, everyone expecting us to roll over, them nervous as hell, closest they've got for over 40 years. Why want anything the easy way?
City still have to play Newcastle away. Win not guaranteed. What we want is for city to enter the match with something to play for and then find out their dream is over as the game progresses. Yep, clutching. Straws.
Sorry guys but after our poor poor defence against the scum what are city going to get 8-9 i fear for what we have left of our goal difference.
i started off wanting utd to win but seeing red nose Taggart and that cheating diver Young lift the trophy would make me sick.. either way we aint gonna get anything up there they have won 17 and drawn I our only hope is beating stoke and bolton losing to spurs (i think spurs will beat them) and then to WBA (could go either way) ideal scenario is we are then safe and party at man city who are crowned champions against us but the script seems to have already been written and its more likely they need to hammer us to win on goal difference and we go down that way also with the Hughes Man U connection and his history with Mancini they wont do us any favours
Hey, it doesn't matter about our trip to City. It'll be all over when Bolton and Blackburn get nothing over the next 7 days and our win v Stoke makes us safe. Keep Faith !!!!
Even if Bolton lose both to Spurs and West Brom and we beat Stoke they could still catch us by winning on the last day and we concede a hatful at City...
We definitely want City to go into the last game needing a win. Look how they have played over the last few weeks when the pressure has been off, they swept teams away. Yet, before that, when it looked like they were going to take the title they suddenly lost to Swansea, drew with Stoke and Sunderland and lost at Arsenal. Everyone says the league is over, it's United's all the way, there's no pressure and they put 4 past West Brom and 6 past Norwich!! Then United drop a few points, there's a glimmer of hope for City and they put in a nervous performance at Wolves? Yes, they've won a huge one tonight but the pressure is now on them big time and I wouldn't be surprised to see another poor performance at Newcastle. Whatever happens, I certainly hope they still need a win when we play them.
we've got a 5 gd over bolton if we beat stoke and they lose their next two games that will be minimum 8 or more so we sould have to concede 6 or more at city and them to get a few at Stoke that wont happen will it?
Hi District. Weren't you confident Blackburn would beat Spurs as well? They didn't manage a shot let alone a goal.
