What with all of the waffle about Cotts resigning it made me wonder who is available, here is a list of 12..

    Steve Clarke?
    Brian McDermott?
    Uwe Rosler?
    Chris Powell?
    Nigel Pearson?

    Tim Sherwood?
    Brendon Rodgers?
    David Moyes?

    John Carver?
    Alan Irvine?
    Alan Shearer?
    Ian Dowie?

Apart from the three highlighted and there is no way we could afford them, of the remaining nine I would take Steve Cotterill ANYDAY.

Nigel Pearson if he would come,SL needs to back who ever comes in,but the guy has done brilliant at taking the foxes up from the championship, and did well in the prem.

Neil Warnock would do a great job.

Pearson has a decent record as manager recently but with clubs with far bigger budgets.
Can't see him ever coming here, I reckon he has bigger fish to fry.

Would certainly sort our defence out, would send the right waves out to potential signings.

Everyone should stay away from Tim Sherwood and Uwe Rosler, clueless managers, I like Steve Clarke and Brian Mcdermott but I'd rather keep Steve Cotterill

Fair enough, I still think we'll manage to finish above, Bolton, Rotherham, Charlton and MK Dons, but we'll see :)

Good post Wizered. It does show that there are very few apparent options.
Should we part company with SC, I would get Warnock in until the end of the season.
But there is another way of recruiting; poaching someone from another club.

In which case, who would be on that list?

Another name is David Moyes who I assume still has some affection for us.
If we could get him, it really would show that SL really is being serious about taking this club where it has never been.

I think the only ones I would go for ahead of Steve Cotts would be David Moyes or Nigel Pearson, and off course Alan Curbishley :emoticon-0136-giggl
