By all accounts Roy Hodgson got a bit upset over Welbeck's yellow card in the International last night. He wasn't the first, and I don't suppose he'll be the last to get annoyed: please log in to view this image Alf Ramsey upset at George Cohen exchanging his shirt after that infamous game against Argentina in 1966, which England won 1-0. Fulham managers on the whole tend to be less public with their emotions, although I'm sure we all recall Sparky and his "hands off" upset moment. Is there any other occasion you can remember when one of our managers let the situation get the better of him on the pitch?
That decision last night was ridiculous. Wellbeck must have had about 1 or 2 seconds to register the ref had blown his whistle. At no point was he intending to time waste. It is a real shame that these sort of cards can not be appealed post event. Big loss for Tuesday night.
Agreed Frogman, awful decision by the ref. And managers letting the situation get the better of him on the pitch, I'd go for Lawrie Sanchez and most of the games he was involved with! On a par with last nights ref.
