No not Fletcher.....but Fleetwood's Micky Mellon.

Their first full time manager.....been there 4 years....two promotions........3 consecutive defeats since easily beating Argyle 3-0.

Who would have thought three games later from the Argyle win he would be sacked.

First season in the football league and they are in a play-off position in seventh place and looking good for a successful season.

They have been climbing the leagues since their Chairman took over and have been using their facilities to maximum affect.....well organized and looking to the future.

So Argyle and Fleetwood are like cheese and chalk.....one on the up and one still heading down.

One not accepting any failure the other totally stuck in the mud who's failing manager has got, what it seems, a job for life.

Which approach is right which approach is wrong......and they do it on crowds under 2000.

It's totally bonkers if he's been sacked for three defeats given how far they've come. There has to be something else, perhaps an unseasonably early incident under the mistletoe with the Chairman's wife?

How do they do it on gates of 2,000? Somebody's putting money in on the side, that's how.

That person is presumably their chairman, Mr. A Pilley, exposed in April 2012 by BBC 5 Live as being secretly the controlling influence behind a company selling energy tariffs and sourcing that energy from - you guessed it - another of Mr. Pilley's companies. Amongst other sales techniques, staff were making up imaginary competitive quotes, claiming to be ringing on behalf of British Gas. It was claimed that part of the energy sales staff salaries were being paid under employment contracts in the name of Fleetwood Town. A complaint by Mr Pilley about the programme was NOT upheld by Ofcom although that doesn't necessarily mean what was said was true - just that it was fairly investigated & broadcast.

Fleetwood Town owes Mr. Pilley £4m. so if he does pull the plug [pardon the pun], Fleetwood are in trouble.

Which approach is right which approach is wrong indeed.

It's no good you hoping Plym, it just won't happen at Argyle, getting in a little helper is proof there will be no sacking for the forseeable future - sad but true.
