    "oh it's snowing"

"the local authorities have let us down"

    GTF!

I left work in ****tleston at 2:30pm yesterday afternoon and had to go into the toon to pick up ma mammy. Got home at 6:30pm

Then went out with my shovel and started shovelling snow from the drive and the rest of the street with about 10 of the neighbours.

Got up at 7am and drove out to Cumbernauld, the A80 was ****ing attrocious, but went through Moddiesburn, Condorrat to get to Cumbernauld, then left, and drove down the M73, along Edinburgh Road and got to work.

Aye, granted, I wouldn't like to have been stuck on the Motorway, but where there is a will, theres a way.

Coming out the Toon last night, there were still ****s trying to get onto the M8! Are these ****s ****in stupid!! Do they not listen to the radio, have access to a TV or Internet, or have family who could let them know!

I went a tour of Royston, Barmulloch, Auchinairn and Provanmill to get home, and I did!!

It wouldn't have been so bad, for all these stupid ****in woman drivers who just can't seem to negotiate the simplest of challenges on the roads!

"oh I'm stuck - better abandon the car"

I got stuck, ****ed the car into 1st gear, got out and pushed the ****ing thing, then had to run and jump into the car once freed!

    Thoughts?

Exactly mate, guys in my work don't get paid if they're not at work, hence, everyone is in, sure, there were a few late comers, but they made it.

I was reading the Record online, and a comment from a Council worker, was decrying her employers for not shutting her work as she "could get killed"

Fine then hen, don't go in, don't get paid.

I do feel sorry for the poor ****s who were stuck on a motorway all night, I drove past them this morning and I did feel ****e for the ****s.

My mates dad was stuck on the M73 for 20 hours!

The folk stuck on the motorway - The thing it annoys me is that these people wis the fact that the were complianing of being hungry n cold...

You're venturing out in Winter for **** sake - you are always told to ensure you have warm clothes, bottled water and food in the car in case of emergencies!

"I've not eaten since breakfast" Get some crisps, biscuits n chocolate in yer car!

"We're cold as we have no heating on to save petrol" - get some blankets in the boot then!

"I'm about to run out of petrol" - shouldn't you have a petrol cannister full in the boot?

It's about time "snow chains" became a requirement for car safety equipment - if all car owners had these there woudl be no gridlock!

British people are soft as ****e!

we got sent home yesterday afternoon as most stuff can be done on line, this mainly involved me logging on so that i could be seen on the instant messenger and then playing the xbox for the rest of the day. less than a quarter of folk are in today, hence why i'm on here, i'd be bunking off as well but as i only live about 2 miles away that might be considered as taking the piss.

the schools thing is a bit of a joke, if it was that dangerous no one would be allowed to go to work, they only get away with it by wailing "wont you think of the children!" funnily enough if i had the power to decide whether or not to shut down my work for the day with no consequences i'd probably think it was pretty dangerous as well.

I have never been stuck in the snow, never even needed to push my car but the boss shut the office because he lives in the arse end of no where and no one cares about clearing the roads out there. For the past week each time i have left the house i have pushed or dug at least 1 car out of the snow. I drive a ****ey wee fiat and its hilarious to laugh at the ****s in 4x4s getting stuck because they don't know how to drive in the snow.

I drive a 5 series BMW, great car, but rear wheel drive is a nightmare in the snow, the arse goes away all the time, and same with the car.

This coupled with stupid ****s making me stop on hills made me very angry indeed.

I'm working from home because I live in the boondocks but the roads should be left clear of idiots at all times, anyone who gets stuck should have their car crushed with everyone still iin it.
