After Sundays game v Spurs 6 nil, what do you guys think the score will be on sun, do you think we stand a chance and get a draw or are we going to get beat by the same sort of score. Spurs were hopeless is our defence any better than theys ,I would like to think so.
spurs had only conceded 6 goals in their previous 11 league games so i think their defence is possibly a notch or two above ours. obviously the form book says we've no chance and the bookies will be taking bets on how many citeh will score in excess of 5. but the beauty of football is it's unpredictability, it might just happen that pre-match complacency will affect the star-studded ranks of the citeh players and if this happens and we can go in at the break all square, then maybe expectation will led to frustration in the stands for the citeh faithful. this coupled with our now regular second half surge means in all probability we'll win comfortably. the question is how many are we going to hammer them by
There's is no way that we will ship that number of goals! We always raise our game for the big teams, and I expect it to be a tight game, Cardiff showed what hard work can achieve, though I know City were away and all that, but we will give them a better game than Spurs, AVB has got Spurs set up all wrong now, serve them right for dumping on Harry!................
Spurs were absolutely terrible defensively. I'm sure you can be better than that. Whether better will be good enough to stop a defeat is another story altogether.
I can't see us winning, and a draw seems unlikely with how City are playing at home, but like Stevo, I cannot see us shipping 6 like spurs, or 7 like Norwich, if anything can see it being 2-0 or 2-1
If you score, you'll have done well - if you stop them scoring, you'll have done bloody marvellous. This is not by any means beyond you, but they are probably the side to beat this season, especially up there. A draw would be an excellent return.
Well I'm going for the draw. I don't thinks their defence isn't that clever at the moment so fancy a point.
Spurs were awful at the back and just werent up for it. A number of times as soon as city broke through the midfield the Spurs midfield just stopped and didnt bother tracking back at all! Overpaid and not cutting it. We will do well to contain them to 2 but I fancy us to score though.
Is that any different to what some, including myself have been critical of in regards our midfield. That certain players don't seem interested in tracking back. I hope you are right though, but think this could be a game to see both Britton and Canas start as the central midfielders, and think we should give Shelvey a chance as the AM.
lol Norway, you would be shocked to hear who I am talking about, its not something I like to discuss out loudly
In the true 'David and Goliath' spirit, I'm going for a Swansea win!..................... please log in to view this image Have I been drinking? Yes...............................................
Not posting this to have another dig at JdG but this is one game where I don't want him anywhere near the pitch and I hope Michael Laudrup has the sense to see it. Spurs were crushed because their defence was crap but it wasn't helped by the fact that their midfield just waved City by to attack them. The newspapers, tv and radio have been full of it plus there was the evidence of my own eyes - granted, highlights only but that was enough to see what was going on. I believe the stats showed that Spurs actually played more passes than City yet they still shipped six. I see that happening to us unless every single player puts in a shift... and then some. This is NOT de Guzman's style. I want to see a midfield of Canas, Leon and Jonjo with Dyer and one other playing wide. I might even prefer Taylor at LB as he is edging Ben defensively right now. If by chance we are still in it late on, we could then bring on Poz and JdG with perhaps Ben coming on to attack them out wide. Not looking forward to it though. Typical Cardiff luck!! They got to play both Manchester teams at exactly the right time.
"If they underestimate us it will only be 4-0". Then we have to hope that they misunderestimate us,and we sneak it whilst they are confused.
If we had a full strength side i would say we had a good chance of winning as we love the underdog tag when everyones giving us no chance , and they have had an off day not long ago so are not unbeatable. But it may be a big ask after thier spurs win confidence will be higher than normal with them. so after weighing everything up im im going to have to go for a 3-1 win for us .
