It isn't Fernandes' airline, that's Air Asia. The recent history of Malaysian Airlines has not been happy. I haven't flown with them recently, but in general service standards on East Asian non budget airlines are very good.

    Enjoy Borneo, work or pleasure?

I flew Malaysian (not Air Asia) about 3.5 years ago to KL from Paris. Just before all their woes started. They were decent enough but not quite up to the standards of Singapore Airlines who are the best airline I have flown with.

If you are flying Air Asia, I have never flown with them but I believe they are the long haul equivalent of Easyjet/Ryanair.

If he's conducting more than one affair, I'm impressed (in a locker room sort of way)

Flown with Air Asia inland Thailand. They had all the old Ryan Air''s never ending booking / + sell everything else, plus never ending check in / try and sell it all again cræp. Flights were cheap but they have a competitor NOK Air who have some flights as cheap and easier booking, so use them now. Ryan Air have wised up, haven't checked Air Asia for a year or two to see if they have or not.
