Doesn't help that BRB can change his vote 3 times in a minute, where as most of you guys can only post once every 30 seconds

Still don't get why the votes for BRB didn't count, they were before the cut off of 8pm

 

Looking at Astro's rule clarification (if you follow his link back) - he said that no vote after 7:59 would be counted. It wasn't until night was called- or 8:00 but until the forum said 7:59. So that's what threw us all off. He did follow the rules he said he would.

I do find it amusing that IBWT was pulling a "IBWT trick" again. I thought it looked like the kind of thing he would do!

I'm also quite suspicious of Valley still too... it looked at the beginning like he was insinuating he was under pressure from Mafia too (without saying as much) - then changed his mind and said he wasn't. (what it looked like). I wonder if he was trying to protect IBWT- or trying to make it look like whichever one survived would look innocent from then on? Or was it just new player tactics?

Also, Valley switching from Gerrez to Lucaaas could have been to try and save IBWT.


Also- Mafia have a recruiter- so could potentially recruit tonight!

Will try and regroup my thoughts in the morning. At the moment Valley (that's a placeholder vote to get things rolling) looks most likely- but I admit I don't have anything really strong to go on.

If such a massive rule like that is in place, you need to make it clear in the rules on the OP, we can't all read every single post on every single page as not all of us can be on the forum every minute

all I'll say is, the way the rules are set up for mafia it is near on impossible for those guys to win given the restrictions the team have

Mafia were strange I dunno what the rules were over there but I just get the feeling that this was far too cute when the simple game is convert at the start

OK... so what happened in the dying minutes.


BRB voted for IBWT. This tends to make BRB look innocent to me. A complete and utter nut... but an innocent one.

Bod, AFC, and Valley all cast votes against someone other than IBWT in the dying seconds. (actually to be fair on Valley- he didn't cast a new vote but claimed he had voted for Gerrez earlier... I don't see that post- but he might have).


Late minute changes of votes for someone other than IBWT is a black mark against Bod and AFC. (although to be fair they might have been able to balance things against BRB's crazy last minute switches).


Not sure what to make of it- other than BRB is probably innocent.

 

My last vote was brb it looks like. I thought I'd switched back to Gerrez. Even said in a latter post that I'd voted Gerrez when brb asked me to vote him. Either way the heavy got killed so

 

So Hacker, Recruiter and Assassin left.

We don't know how/when they can use their powers. No recruit or kill last night. I wonder why? Strategy, forgot, or can only use one power at a time perhaps? Hacked Journalist?

Would expect the most likely course of action for them tonight is that they recruit (unless we can find the recruiter).

 

Brb was being a nutter and every single time we had a coin flip in place, regardless of who was in it, he changed his vote and messed it up and he did it again late to lynch IBWT. I changed to brb to try and reinstate a tie but was too late with my vote.

Since brb ended up lunching mafia it kind of makes him look innocent despite his erratic voting. That said there was a lot of suspicion on IBWT and we would likely have got round to killing him anyway and it might be a clever ploy to make brb look innocent? Not sure yet what I make of brb. I'll wait and see how he plays day two!

So it turns out I was right all along! IBWT was the heavy and was trying to hide himself in plain sight.

But he didn't count on brb's strategy of pinning the list of names to a wall and firing a shotgun at it

I can see that is plausible and isn't completely damning for you, Bod, or Valley. Under normal circumstances that would have set off a big red flag for me... however, BRB acting as erratically as he did- I can see how what you did might have been trying to balance the game... still a little suspicious though.

I think BRB's last vote (for IBWT) get's him off the hook (for now) - which probably means he will be a potential target for the recruiter tonight- so can only trust him for one day. Unless BRB and IBWT both were fully aware he posted after 7:59 and it's more "playing"- but I consider this unlikely.

 

I don't think anyone could have foreseen BRBs panic attack. I had an image of BRB akin to Mr Bean pressing the nuke button at the white house and having a meltdown

 

Astro, now that the heavy is out... can I ask a question (don't think it will impact game play). If the Heavy HAD picked someone would they have been allowed to claim they were influenced by the heavy- or would the PM have said they couldn't?
