Knew it would make me proper suspicious especially given who it was for!! Just what Mafia wanted I guess.

Gerrez - I played well last game and the game before so maybe their thought is try get rid of me as I'm pretty good at this game without blowing my own trumpet

 

i can't tell about the votes right now. i've no ideas forming at this point on suspicions . On its face BRB and gerrez could just be digging each other, and on its face nobody has denied so far IBWT being influenced so i assume this will form everyone strategy when influenced in later rounds. I can't tell if its a bluff or truth so have to park it.

I would still like a 3 or 4 way tie. I'd much perfer that to lads kill someone on a very low evidence basis or worse non game japery.

I'm late and this has already been discussed, but this is a terrible idea as the heavy gets a vote... and not only that, we learn nothing- no way to make Mafia squirm if we don't cast a vote.

You can't do anything but take random pot-shots day one. The idea is to put several people under pressure and see if any squirm... and/or anyone does anything suspicious trying to save someone else.

So- presumably if IBWT is being pressured by a Heavy- we can look at who was online before 10am and draw up a shortlist from that list. One of them is going to be the heavy!

A 4th possible scenario. Astro says there are some undocumented twists.
Possible, although perhaps unlikely that Sky is corrupt cop and IBWT knows this. (if this is the case we should know tomorrow)

5th scenario. The undocumented twist could be the "Drunk/Village Idiot" role. If Astro has been doing homework and researching other games he might have uncovered the "Drunk", sometimes called "village idiot" role- the goal of that person is to get themselves lynched on the first day.

Whichever scenario is correct- I would suggest we don't kill IBWT tonight. If he stays alive after what he has said today that will speak volumes. If he dies for saying he was coerced- we will know he is innocent (and was going to die anyway- no point us lynching him). If he survives and continues to finger Sky tomorrow- that might suggest something. Eitherway- IBWT is more valuable kept alive for now.

Oh and just thought of 6th Scenario: IBWT is devious. If he is Mafia again- they could try and make him look like an innocent today by making him appear to be under pressure of the heavy!

Definitely a good piece of evidence.

I thought the rules with the heavy was that if you were pressured you die if you revealed yourself... have to go back to post one to check. In the sign up thread that's what Astro said the rules would be.

No because if you admit being pressured I think you die.

Right now I'm voting Lucaaas - completely random. I have no evidence against him. I'm just trying to make the vote more than just Teflon Gerrez. One person up front is meaningless- and I don't think we should vote IBWT off... seeing what happens overnight and into day 2 with him will speak volumes.

 

In the last game RHC told everyone he was the vigilante, then killed me because I'm a Utd fan.

I'll let you work out which of option a) and b) is more likely based on that info...

Maybe... although that would look suspicious. If IBWT is alive this time tomorrow I'd consider him a prime suspect and consider lynching him.

To be fair. Gerrez isn't normally one to hide around- so if he is town he could be a valuable asset. If he's not town he's probably going to give himself away eventually.

I think if he survives beyond tonight- he should be a lead candidate for being removed. I need to go back and read the rules though- I remember reading somewhere if you confess to being coerced by heavy you die.. Maybe that was just on the sign up thread. He should definitely be considered prime suspect regardless if he survives. I think not lynching him tonight may give the town more information. Let him speak tomorrow.

As far as I can see, Astro hasn't (publicly) said that IBWT has said anything wrong.

 

OK... two points:


1) MAFIA HEAVY - Each day can force any player to vote for a specific person (or for no lynch). If the player does not have the correct vote made at 8pm they die.

This doesn't state that if they reveal they are coerced they die.

Who said that the heavy had to submit who they were going to influence by 10am? And how did you know this? The rules don't say anything about the heavy and 10am.

we now have a 4 way tie at the top all with 2 votes... and 4 votes not cast.

I have no idea if the 4 in danger are right or wrong... but i did ask for something like this.

Now i'd be happier if we had a 4 way with 3 votes so sky was a bit safer.... I don't know what the mafia have as rules so i don't know if they have multiple kills so losing the assassin in a coin toss to kill sky is a good or bad thing. If the roles are strong then it'd surely be foolish to expse yourself by voting for sky today. surely you'd lose a memebr that way... who knows.

so:

is the 4 at risk a good 4 or a bad 4... should we change them? there are 2 votes there from bod and gerrez that are on 1. should we ask those go on the 4 on 2 votes or should we just let it ride... should we just change for someone in the not voted for table... should we vote no lynch?

whats the next move... (and don't just let stubborn gerrez off just cos he was up first either, i don't want him gone for no reason either but f me if he rides through a full week by the skin of his stubbornness I'll be laughing at us)

 

Looking back at the rules...I agree. In the sign-up thread where he suggested the heavy he said the townie could not reveal he was being pressured... but the rules on the actual game thread doesn't say that so maybe IBWT would be in the clear if pressured.
