Unbelievable. Man Utd are back to where they were before Ferguson took over, coach after coach after coach. The third in as many seasons is just about to arrive and how long will he be given? My prediction? 4 coaches in 5 seasons.
Its called the modern game - look up Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Inter, Juve, PSG Celtic - all the mega clubs in Europe do it. Why should we be any different
Because you're not accustomed to it at Trafford. Matt Busby was there for years before a string of faces came and went. Ferguson 25 years or so and now this. I doubt it will work glazer.
All that dynasty building is from a bygone era. Spurs were the same with Nicholson, Liverpool with Shankly, Stein at Celtic - it will never happen again, Wenger will be the last of their kind. There is fresh managerial blood out there, why should we not avail ourselves of it. Poch will be at Spurs for 3 yrs then he will be off to RM or Barca, JM will stay with us for 3 years then he will be off again somewhere - that is the way the modern game (and modern business) works
Gives you a great idea of how perceptions (peddled by the media) outside the club, are so different from the reality inside it
Because I really don't think you understand the difference between Ron Atkinson and Van Gaal (let alone the two managers you've quoted). At its core, all sport is a combination of skill, entertainment, competitiveness. Van Gaal demonstrated very little, if any, of any of those 3 things. Atkinson may have been just as unsuccessful (over the same period) but he demonstrated those 3 things in abundance compared to Van Gaal. So you see the comparisons with the other two managers you've quoted show your lack of understanding.
Thank you Mr know it all Treble but all I mentioned were lengths of time managers were at Trafford. I didn't mention Atkinson or Van Gaal or the difference between them so all you've shown is your inability to read a simple post.
Whooooosh! I'm afraid my attempt to explain the point is clearly a little too high brow for you, though probably not for my 10 year old son. NVM.
