Ye, why would we want a proven, experienced full-back who can play on either side with a handful of international caps?
He hasn't played for England in over 6 years. Like I said, not sure he's any better than Bradley Orr.
Hmmm... rather baffled by this one myself. Would have thought we would be looking for a younger full back with pace. Sounds like a done deal though,so we'll have to see!
This first season back in the premiership is crucial to us. We need experience at the back at this level no matter what age they are. We bought a load of players last year for the purpose of getting us promoted. Now we need players that in the short term will keep us up. Once we manage that then we can look at younger players for the future SSN say he's having medical already. He'll overtake Joey Barton shortly
@qprnet QPRnet Breaking news on @SkySportsNews that Luke Young undergoing his medical. Good signing IMO #qpr
Decent signing for me, don't think Orr is comparable really and although Young is 32, he can't be much slower than Bradders!
The Hammersmith meals on wheels people will be making a special daily run to LR to make sure our squad of elderly players are well fed...
Think that had already all but ended. If these signings come off, looks like it'll be the end of a few more QPR careers too. Feel a bit sorry for people like Derry, who won't really get a look in when Bartons fit (if he signs of course). Same for people like Mackie, Buzz, maybe even Smith (if we get SWP too).
