hii guys im new on here what does everyone think of Luke Moore? i think his movement off the ball is great Do you think he would be better in the prem?
We signed him as a striker but once again he seems better suited to a midfield role. He's done well defensivly in Dobbie's role and can figure on the wing for us too. Sadly just seems to have a problem once he enters the box.
Obviously he has not set the world on fire, but the guy had obvious baggage before signing (more mental I believe). He has talent and I think he has improved as the season went on. A new "big" signing head's could have fallen completely, but this did not happen. He took time to realise how we play as a unit and he put in some decent shifts off the bench at the end of the season. He showed he was willing to be the sole target man and also was willing to chase back - Forest away in the play offs was cracking example (and we all know what that nil-nil meant for the season). Who knows, we might see a the real LM next year. Definately an asset worth keeping. Just my opinion though!
Tough one this i don't doubt his work rate and i don't think he's had many chances to prove his worth so i expect him to still be one of our player's next season and hopefully bag us and for himself a few goals.
Yea tidy player, he may never score a hatfull, but decent to have in the squad, quite unselfish. Has a fair few assists
SA, i am not so sure about his work rate. In the games where he has put it in i think 'yeh, this guy looks good'. But that hasnt been enough. He is going to be a bit part player at best. But hope he is here next year. Needs to add a few goals though.
I try to see the good in Luke Moore but I just think he lacks enthusiasm and ability. There is no doubt he has potential and he's young so maybe he could come good.
Luke has a fight with himself, he's a very laid back personality, and in football you need that gritty get up and go determination, it's hard to develop that in someone who is so laid back, and it doesn't matter how much technical ability you have, if you can't get the player up and motivated it's a problem, though I've seen enough from Luke, to know he could be a great talent, but how do you motivate a laid back individual, get him in a temper before a game? it's a difficult one, but I'm sure Rodgers is working on him, I know we have not seen any where near his best yet! Maybe one of the boys on the bench can stick a pin in his backside as he comes off the bench!............. please log in to view this image
If you want to see the best of Luke Moore then the ball has to be passed to him more often. I reckon we will see the best of him (and Beattie) next year.
Hell Just come on here to say nighty, nighty, before crashing out, and PGFWhite your going to give me nightmares mentioning Beattie, they'll be bad ones too! Ever talked to the guy? what a misery guts, anyway, hope we've booked him a ticket out of Swansea................ please log in to view this image I'm lost for words Union! Though you have reminded me, anyone notice how happy Curtis is these days, seems to have an extra spring in his step, when he comes on for the warm up with the boys, must be on the old Phyllosan!....................... please log in to view this image
I think it's taken him longer to get used to the way we play than many had hoped but he looks pretty good with the ball at his feet and hopefully he will be firing on all cylinders come the new season
Maybe it's that pin you were talking about that's got him going.... Seriously though the whole camp seems so happy. It's great to see and long may it continue!!!
I'm surprised so many are ripping into Beattie and Moore on here. Yes both underperformed last season but they both helped us get promoted. Beattie has injury worries but scored some amazing goals last season that won us matches we should have lost/drawn, whilst Moore got stronger as the season progressed and actually showed his worth in midfield and on the wings to close out games (as did Pratley). I think both will play a part next year even if Beattie is just for cup games to allow others to rest and focus on the league, and Moore as a sub to help close out games when we are leading. Not everyone can be stars for the team, but everyone has a role to play. (Except Pintado )
