Yeah he can dribble and pass and his work rate is fantastic. However no end product therefore we need to get another striker, this season has been a disaster. I would rather 4th place than the Carling cup. We are definately capable of it under Kenny as we dominate posession and create so many chances game after game. We are missing a good striker and a winger who is not English. I don't think we are going to win today, we may get a draw but at the moment we don't have anyone to win us games on a consistent basis. Why the **** is Carroll on the bench? He cost $35 million, really hope the owners have got plans on what to do . I think we can win things under Kenny but ffs we have to be more deadly in front of goals
He doesn't have an end product. Fair enough he scored today but his goals to shots ratio is worse than Andy Cole's! Majority of the time, his shots either go straight at the keeper or completely miss the target. Very good player but there is certainly room for improvement. And to claim the goal ruled out was questionable is a bit of a joke IMO. He clearly knees the Wigan player before handling the ball over the line. The only questionable part is when you consider how the referee could make the decision from where he was stood, there is no way he could see it and the linesman didn't flag either.
Go read my posting history then come back and tell me my head is up his arse. Go on, try me. I deflect because I've spoken at length on this forum about our lack of goals this season and don't feel like writing the same **** again for a wum like you. But seriously, why ARE you on our board again?
In a team where he could sit with goal-scoring, inventive wingers on either side of him, he would have scored more. Remember he's missed around a third of that 30 too.
Room for improvement, absolutely. But his Ajax form and on occasion this season he's shown glimpses of his ability. We certainly shouldn't be writing him off as have 'no end product' already. I think he just needs some better quality along side him, then we'll see what he can do in the PL. He needs some consistancy also...but that applies to the entire squad. As for the disallowed goal, my stream was kinda **** so didn't see much in it. Deffo didn't see a hand in there from what I saw. I might well be mistaken if you say so though so I'm open to difference in opinion on that.
Suarez has 11 in 30 games this season. Or 6 in 24 leagues games. That works out at 0.36 and 0.25 goals per game respectively. I like Suarez, I think he is a very good player to have in the side, but some Liverpool fans really do need to get their head out their arse when it comes to rating him. He is not world class. He has the potential to eventually get there but, at present, has has a lot of room for improvement IMO.
I am not "writing him off" but I am saying he has no end product. This is an area that has room for improvement. In simple terms, he is not good enough in this respect at present but should get better with age. I am not considering his time at Ajax because of the standard of the league. We have seen a lot of players come to the Prem and not lived up to the Dutch league performances.
But he's not at a team with inventive wingers he's at Liverpool and has to be judged on what actually happens not your dream scenario. Oh and he missed 5 of those 30 league games nowhere near a third.Still, don't let facts get in the way will you.
Most Liverpool fans are like that, give an honest critique of their team/players and they bite your head off. Sad really.
He stands out out in a very ordinary LFC Team. But not as an extraordinary Player, more as a ray of hope. It is understanable why so many LFC Fans hang their hat on him, but misguided.
Not saying it's his fault at all. He gives great performances sometimes even if he doesn't score, but the reason We are struggling to win games at home against ****ing Wigan Athletic who are close to relegation is because we can't finish off games, we need another Torres!
