I've heard a rumour that Lucas may well be back before the end of the season. Has anyone else heard this and if so, are you able to sustantiate it?

As long as he's fit for pre-season I'd be happy with that. I don't see him being involved this season.

There's no doubt that we've missed him. Are there still any doubters out there?

  7. Oviosuly, i would love him to be in the team right now. IMO he is our most important player, more so than Gerrard and Suarez! However, should he return return earlier than normal then it would oly be for a handful of games at the end of the season at best. I'd rather he concentrated on getting back to fitness in readiness for 2012-13 (and no, that is not me saying next year is our year...)

Yeah, I rather not rush him and just make sure he's ready for the new season.

I didn't think we would miss as much as we did but we certainly have. Spearing is decent but ever since Lucas's been out, the opposition seem to have more time on the ball and get in behind our midfield and straight through to our defence.

The amount of time Scholes got on the ball was ridiculous, Henderson and Gerrard should have closed him down quicker.

I wouldnt want him rushed back. It should be made sure that he is 100% better, recovered and ready before he returns. Look what happened when to much pressure was put on an under fit Torres.

There's no excuse for that. Especially if your 4 year old can spell 'that'. You must set a good example or he'll never get to 'antidisestablishmentarianism' by 8 <ok>

if you look at the timing of the injury and todays typical recovery period for the same injury it would be not unreasonable to think he could be back in some form of training by may... however we've all seen guys like essien do that and end up injured again so I think he'll be trianing all summer to regain fitness and should be somewhere close to ready by preseason.

He could be ahead of schedule for sure but aside form an FA cup final we are not even close to qualifying for or 3 league games that may not matter if we keep our cuirrent lousy form going.... well lets just say much depends on both him and the clubs situation. Its be a risk

It's annoying to have to write another season off, but this season is down as another write-off. again, let's rebuild over the summer, get everyone back to fitness, re-assess, and then once again go out next season and get 4th finally

  20. Agreed it is annoying but I don't think we have to write this season off yet. I think we still have a chance as long as we can start getting results against the so-called lesser sides at Anfield. And I predicted we'd finish fifth at the start of the season anyway.

I would be very happy with a cup win and we still have the chance of winning two! I stuck a few sneaky quid on Liverpool to lift both cups this season.
