I left the match 5 minutes early last night (missed the Charlton goal as well) to get to the station and Rupert Lowe was there with another chap (business associate) and I think it must have been his son. In fairness to Lowe he spoke to the fans openly and didn't shy away. After getting some quite 'direct' questioning from myself and the other fans at the stadium, he said he didn't intend to buy the club back. Getting off at London Bridge I trailed behind him to hear the conversation he was having and fisrt of all he was talking about how he "can't let Saints fans see any fear in him" and "how you have to be ascertive back", but then his 'colleague' started to discuss his dealing with Roberto Mancini two weeks ago.... Now I appreciate the majority of this could be considered scare-mongering, but it does concern me that: Firstly - Lowe is still going to our matches and taking an interest. Secondly - He was attending with somebody who obviously has a business interest in football due to his links with Man City.... Does anyone know any more about this, as I don't like what I saw last night. Ta, SaintRob
I saw him on the train on the way to the ground, listening in on the conversations i think the man with him is Schniederlins agent.
Not really, couldn't pick up on too much and he was only talking to a few kids who weren't asking too many tough questions as far as i could hear. Eavesdropped on a little bit of rupert talking and he said something about football being corrupt (not a surprise but interesting to hear it from him), and he shared a joke with his mate about Rudi Skacel
As long as he's not coming back in the boardroom, apart from cleaning it, I dont see what the issue is. The guy invested a decade in the Club, he's got as much right as anyone to go and watch and then spout **** afterwards.
what a picture that conjures up - lowe using public transport! I bet it was after dark, and I bet he cast no reflection in the window. Every mother inthe area should check their babies to see that they haven't beed eaten.
He was with Saints for a long time and must have been interested before that as he bought them. I would be suprised if he didn't have an interest in our results. No need to read anything in it.
I was on the marches two seasons ago before going in and cheering on the team.We wanted Lowe out then and he has gone. For me that was the end of the story. Lowe did a lot of good stuff for this club but at the end should have gone earlier than he did. Our stadium is here because of him, so let's leave the poor old sop alone and get on with supporting our club.
