This also looks to be goodbye Earnie,,,,,,,,,,
The arrival of Lovenkrands in the Welsh capital could revive Robert Earnshaw’s proposed move to Major League Soccer.
The Wales striker, who has made just one appearance in the last four months, saw a deadline-day switch to Vancouver Whitecaps fall through.

    Yeah, saw that Sussex.

He's not had a look in and at his age he needs to be playing as he probably doesn't have many seasons left. A shame. They do say you should never go back.

Lovenkrands would do for me. He can play out wide as well as through the middle. Always had that magic element "pace" in his armoury in the past. He's roughly the same age as Kenny, so no reason why he should have lost it.

Earnie is a different kettle of fish. Typical poacher. Quick off the mark over the first half dozen paces, but never any real pace outside the box.

I had heard that Poyet wanted him and he was destined to go to Brighton on loan as part of the Noone deal the other way. When that fell through, looks like he's tried for pastures new. If Lovenkrands does arrive, we wont see Earnie in a Bluebird's shirt again this season.

It's a shame for Earnie, but we are a very different side from the one he left when he joined the baggies. Never really got settled or had the game time with them. Could never understand why Robson never played him, he had a great early record with them (if I recall correctly). Hope he gets the move he deserves and enjoys his footy.

Taff - Robson was an arsehole towards Earnie. When Robbo took over as manager, Earnie was doomed at WBA. He never rated him at all and as much as said so.

I believe I'm correct that he still finished the club top scorer that season even though he only started about 25% of the games - that is some record for anyone.

Real shame he's lost it now, and a pity he ever came back to be honest.

I would be happy with Lovenkrands he would add more experience to the side and offer alternatives to what we already have. He also has that important experience in helping Newcastle gain promotion. <ok>

Sparkey, I thought Robson brought Earnie? Thats why I couldn't understand why Robson was such a prick with him.
He was in the goals and I think it was 11 games and 11 goals, when he first went there, and he didn't start every game! Robson treated him like dirt and Earnies career suffered for it.

Earnie scored a hatrick for WBA in 17 mins off the bench and then Robson was interviewed a couple days later bemoaning that he didn't have any strikers.

Taff - I think is was Megson who signed him - Robbo came in afterwards. <ok>

i feel for earnie, he has never really hacked it at PL level, so the next best thing was to come back to cardiff and play alongside miller and score a shedload of goals...... hasnt happened though, malky doesnt rate him, and he clearly doesnt fit into the system and has been virtually frozen out, a massive shame for him, andi hope he finds a good club <ok>

as for lovenkrands, i'll believe it when its confirmed <ok>

Earnshaw - The only player to have scored a hat-trick in all 4 top divisions, domestic cups and international. Legend.

The Lovenkrands whisper appears to have gone cold. Pity, we could do with a lift early this week.

We could certainly do with one or two additions soon.

I suspect we are not offering enough in terms of wages contributions and loan fee.

its a noble stance to take, but it could turn out to be a false economy if we get injuries and loss of form to key players...<ok>

    True Swamp

Regardless of the cup final we need some fresh legs to drive us forwards. However at 32 would L'krands have what we need?

Just checked Wiki which says we may be interested in a loan deal.

Well if Wiki is only using "may" then it is far from certain.

he's not been pulling up any trees in the premierleague but the championship is a different kettle of fish, anyway, its only speculation, putting 2 and 2 together etc, do you know when the loan deadline is? i had a look i cant find it!
