It seems Louis was told last Thursday his contract would not be renewed this coming season.
A true legend up with the best.

Sad day today crying as he was clapping the fans.
What a season to call it a day keeping the reds up.
Well done sir, I hope you have a stint down at Yeovil for a couple of seasons, you can't beat class and you have it.
You would do Gj a sterling job for a couple of years.

Yes - legend is the right word for him.

I still think he was one of our best defenders this season, despite his age.
If the fans want players who care for the club rather than just enjoy the money and lifestyle,
Louis is the perfect example. If true, I guess as club captain he may be one of the bigger
earners and that may have influenced Del in the decision.

I always felt more confident in the defence if Louis was playing and would have liked
to see him get one more year on a pay-as-you-play contract.

If he does go then best of luck to him and I for one would like him to know that he
will always be a City legend to me.

I cannot believe he would cross the great divide,Yeovil I could understand but surely he is still worth another season, even as a squad player but he must be on very high mozuma.

I started coming to see City when he made is return from the brief stint at Coventry so for me he's always been here. Carey is synonymous with and is Bristol City to me and like Scott Murray before him I hope he keeps playing but remains a close friend to everyone at the club.

Speaking of which, even if he does get a pay-as-you-play contract for next season, I think we need to petition SI to make him, Murray and one or two others icons or legends in the next Football Manager game. God forbid they put Nicky Maynard instead.

Following on from the appointment of Murray as Gofer I understand Carey has accepted
the post of Facilities And Resources (Training) Supervisor.
He will have sole resposibility for balls, cones, bibs and movable goal posts
