Lotus are unveiling their new car on their website this afternoon at 4pm. Please don't be platypussy.
They had one of the better looking cars last year in my opinion (Thanks mainly to its Livery) but with all but McLaren having the look of their car ruined by the stepped nose, its impossible to hold high hopes for this one. Regardless, this car will gain a lot of attention thanks to its drivers (i refuse to refer to it as "Kimi Raikkonen's car") so it will be very interesting to see what they have done. Those with too high expectations however should note that even lotus themselves dont expect to seriously challenge for 3 more years.
It'll probably just be Kimi's rally car with a dent in the bonnet so that it reaches the nose regulations.
I reckon* Lotus might actually go the Mclaren route. In all seriousness, if you look at their nose from last year, is it just me who thinks it looks a lot like the new Mclaren? please log in to view this image *read: blindly hope
It either drops away rapidly, or there is no nose code fitted in that picture. Fingers crossed for the latter, but I'm not convinced.
I've been wondering if anyone was going to go for a 'Mercedes 2010' style nose, this could be it! (if the bloody website will load!)
Is this what Marko meant when he said Red Bull had a more elegant solution? Btw, what happened to the website launch?
Nose doesnt look too bad, a nicer smooth version compared to Ferrari, I think the black helps it look smooth too.
From these pictures, the car looks like an R31 with a different nose and exhaust. I can't really see much from that angle but there isn't anything that stands out as impressive.
Well thats the best looking stepped nose car so far, but how much of that is down to the colour scheme I wonder. Looks sleek enough to me but its hard to make out any real detail off my phone
