Circular reasoning from Lidls and gibberish from Michigan.

Apparently Spurs are paying 75k a week to Modric in the new contract. Didn't they break their wage structure? I don't know.

They are related in the way PNP means, they are both a major expense to the club. What part of that don't you get?

We're always reminded of the occasional big spend in the TM when its been more than the usual suspects, but we're always outspent on wages, a subject suitably ignored by those very same suspects.

I don't know whether that figure is accurate or you've portrayed it correctly Michigan, but it would appear to relate to finishing and methods of goalscoring, rather than accuracy of crossing.
It's also completely irrelevant to this topic.

Drop the 606 crap or sod off.

I know it's not related to the OP. Just I would like post a stat from Optajoe ;-). I don't think you really need a hyper link for that? I always feel privileged to let Spurs fans about their players. <ok>

How does any of that depend upon the financial stability of the club and what can't you understand about spending £25m being the same as spending £25m?

Congratulations on understanding that clubs with high budgets can pay more money to players and better players demanding more cash, Lidls.
Backs up my earlier claims though, doesn't it?

    Circular reasoning is circular.

You've spent more on wages than we have for a long time, which is why you're in a position where you now have a much higher revenue than we do.
The same applies to Man Utd and Liverpool.
We have not performed as well as you have because we have not had the resources that you've had.

As soon as some other clubs have had an artificial boost to their revenues, they've found that they too can compete at this higher level.
    Miraculous, isn't it?

    You're not debunking anything, Lidls.
Your reasoning is circular and ignores the fact that Man Utd, for example, paid out massive wages and repeatedly broke the British transfer record when you weren't successful.

The match against our reserves and debuting youth team players that required two dives in extra time to win, you mean?

In some ways it was a good season, but the fact is that if we got twelve points instead of two against West Ham and Blackpool, we would've finished second. Which is bloody annoying, when you think about it...

Utd's spending was based upon outside investment, including some from Sky, Lidls.
Repeatedly breaking the British transfer record and having the highest wages in the country is not a good, sustainable business model, especially now.
We all know how you achieved your wonderful youth team, too.

    V.PersieIsTheNewVanBasten

Image rights and bonuses come under wages, which I already accounted for, if you read my comment correctly.

Arsenal fans seem to think that paying out £105m in wages and transfers is somehow less than paying out about £75m on the same things.

Are Keane, Lemon, Pavlyuchenko, Sandro, Palacios, Bentley and Assou-Ekotto your reserves and debuting youth players?

Keane, Pavlyuchenko, Palacios and Bentley are reserves.

    Sandro was debuting.

But BAE and Lennon are first team.

Keane, Bentley and Palacios are and Pavlyuchenko and Sandro were.
Lennon and Keane didn't start, either.

No arguments about Pletikosa, Naughton, Caulker, Bassong, Livermore or Dos Santos?
Barring Bassong, I think they played about 2 other games between them.

The formation and system was an utter mess and we deserved to lose, but please don't try to claim that it was anything other than a reserve tie in anything other than name, as you'll just embarrass yourself even more, Michigan.

I was baffled when the above poster said you played with debuting youth players.

So, as per Solidspur, Pavlyuchenko is your reserve player. Thanks for confirming.

Pavlyuchenko wasn't in the first XI at the time.
He'd only made two starts in the first seven games.
Several players did make debuts in that game, I believe.

Stop talking off-topic balls, you pleb.
